Called here last night. Asked what was the special 6 course 😂 deal advertised on the back of the menu was ? Owner seemed perturbed and gave me a superceded 5 course leaflet ( and placed a token two on other empty tables ) £1...cheaper ! I asked what had gone ? His reply “Never you mind “ ... I should have left there and then, but he’d served me a drink. Twice I asked him to give me time to read it. Sooo close to me, all I could see were dirty shoes, cheap over worn socks and grey grubby stained tracksuit bottoms, under a pristine white old school 3/4 jacket. No hand sanitizer no track and trace , menus held together by duck tape. On the phone constantly to his countrymen, mask down breathing all over you. Only me in the restaurant, I wonder why ? Constantly up selling you everything inc alcoholic drinks, no doubt to assist you with his cheap ingredients, and salty curry. Unfortunately it appears that Naga chillis certainly don’t grow on trees in Warton ! One to avoid I’m afraidMore

Been here quite a few times and also had take a ways. Would recommend this place. Although the surroundings look a little dated the food and service was exceptional. Is now our local place to eat. The owners son was telling me of his plans...to refurbish the place. If he does can see this place taking off.More

Having recently moved to Warton from Preston I wasn’t sure if we’d find good Indian food on the doorstep. Happily we did with the Raj. We’ve not eaten in but returned several times now for a takeaway meal. Plenty of dishes to choose from and...so far not been disappointed. Most of what we’ve had hasn’t been particularly spicy, but all tasty, which is good. Last night tried the vegetable thali which I really enjoyed. The Dall wasn’t to my better half’s taste but I enjoyed it. Loved the Bombay Potatoes and the vegetable pakoras were great. Service has always been good and with a smile. Thank you.More

If you love your authentic food then this is the place to go, that was probably the best Naga dish I have ever had and the whole family cleared their plates, even my youngest daughter who can be a fussy eater. We will 100% be...going back. The staff were lovely and the owner Ahmed even took time out to talk to us. Thankd guys we had a lovely evening. Kind regards Rick and familyMore

I visited this restaurant during travelling back home from Lytham and got a takeaway I ordered the kariah chicken meal. This meal needs alot of improvement on taste - no taste as yet. I would recommend that you use more spices and herbs. Its lacking...flavour. Use less onions in the sauce, you using too many. The seekh kebab were ok. Again, need to marinated with more herbs and spices. lacking the taste. Some more seasoning would help. Could only taste only taste grounded cumin. Thank you for free poppadoms and onion pakrohs. I would recommend you to use more seasoning in your pakrohs. little more slat and pepper - not enough of it.More

We have eaten in this restaurant before but this time decided on a takeaway to be delivered - service was as stated (we were told it would take approx an hour because of the high demand) but we were prepared to wait for delivery. The...food arrived before the hour, and we were pleasantly surprised to see plenty of popadoms and pickle trays, plus a starter we'd not had before and salad, all free with our meals. Food was excellent , enough for two meals. Definitely recommend.More

First take-away for us from The Raj and it won't be the last. Lovely authentic Indian/Bangladeshi food. Delivered to our home by a masked, gloved driver. Great service, lovely food and much appreciated during these difficult times. So grateful that local businesses such as these...are willing and able to carry on at this time. They deserve our support in the future and will certainly have it from us. Thank you to all the staff.More

I thought this meal couldn’t get any worse upon arrival when staff started to put tables together for an advanced online booking. Phone ahead if you plan on visiting. The online machine does not work. One of the many faulty aspects of the restaurant. We...stupidly waited over two hours for our starters to arrive. Staff were rude and unapologetic. My partner was then greeted with a glorified chicken wing and side salad as a mixed kebab. My father in law was gobsmacked when given two mini samosas. One for each hour he had waited. Possibly half an hour later at this point we had stopped clock watching and waited for our main course to arrive. We were then informed we had ordered too many garlic naan. You will have to have some potatoes. Imagine waiting over two and half and half hours to be informed you can’t actually have what you ordered. The potatoes arrived dripping in oil. We opted against the coffee which is a good job as we didn’t get offered anyway. Thankfully we just wanted to leave. The bill then arrived and the manager couldn’t understand why we had some complaints. He refused the discount card (Tastecard) as apparently he did his own offer. Avoid at all costs. This was for a birthday meal. The meal took so long we unfortunately didn’t have time to bring out the birthday cake.More

Mr Raj is a character. Boneless fish curry was superb . Tadoori chicken cooked to perfection with a old style Madras sauce. A great selection of bottled beers. A great Dining experience. Value for money.
