Ordering food, waiting for plates to be taken away and paying the bill really dragged on. As with some other reviews, it was very quiet but staff seemed to be rushing around. Shame, as the food was OK. We won't be rushing back unfortunately, too many other places nearby to choose from, with better service.

We were looking for somewhere to meet up for a family meal that would accept dogs and the Derby Arms welcomed us into their bar area. The dog was spoiled with little treats and his own water bowl while the rest of us enjoyed a good meal served with a lovely glass of wine. The staff were extremely attentive and... More

They take the heart of these old pubs making them look like an upper class brothel. They provide a menu above their standing and then put in untrained staff to try and fulfill. The welcome here was just OK. But notice not a single local at the bar having a drink, once you've lost them you will struggle. Granted a... More

We called in here for lunch today following a walk along the Lancaster Canal with the dog. It was lovely. Service was impeccable and we were made to feel very welcome with our dog. Food was tasty and great value for money. What a find. Will definitely be back soon!

Midweek lunch for six, we didn't book. Lovely friendly pub, masses of space and garden too. Superb service, we were very pleased with our choice. Ordered fish and chips, burger and veggie lasagne. Lovely food at reasonable price. Lots of choice on the menu. Would go back and highly recommended.
