Had lunch here between Xmas and NYE recently. First visit and was most impressed. Very cosy, warm and welcoming which you feel immediately upon entry. They sat us in a quiet spot near the fire. Tasty menu which we really enjoyed. The service was extremely good. Very attentive and super friendly. We will definitely visit again. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely little restaurant that serves traditional food with a twist. Fresh ingredients, good service and my favourite dish devilled kidneys. Busy restaurant so worth booking ahead

Four of us came for lunch Saturday 14th January 2017, three of the party were predictable going for dishes they had had in the past. I however opted for something a little different and probably unusual for this fine dining location. I ordered the fillet mince burger. It arrived in a brioche bun with crispy bacon, ranch dressing, three fried... More

Eating out with friends at this lovely pub, enjoying the atmosphere and recalling pre gastro times, when, many decades before, we used to play darts in the front bar, now sadly long gone! However, back to the present, the staff were very attentive, but soon realised that we were more into catching up with each others news than immediately ordering... More

Meal for two in a cosy atmosphere on a cold foggy night. This should have been great. The meal itself was alright. Just left you feeling it could have been a little better. We ordered and then we're asked if we would like some water with our meal. We said yes please. Still or sparkling. Still please. We got a... More

Good food attentive and pleasant helpful staff. Nice mix for XMAS menu, choice for all tastes. I was in a wheelchair and had to go outside to come back in at a lower level to access toilet, which meant I had to make two tables move so I could go out. (even though we booked for a wheelchair user) The... More
