How nice to find an unspoiled, honest old english pub! Very friendly welcome and great choice of food. My lamb shank was excellent and my wife's chicken and mushroom pie the best (and the biggest) she has ever had!

Old pub, dog friendly. Excellent menu with a good vegetarian selection. My husband had the steak and ale pie and I had the vegetarian "meatloaf". Lots of vegetables and gravy and a reasonable price. Couldn't fault the food. Friendly pub.

Stopped for a few beers & met lots of people both locals & holiday makers. Beers were good & prices reasonable too. Definitely recommend as a pub.

If your sitting in the back (or come to that the front) then you get the smell on the kitchen on your clothes - mostly fried smell. no pleasant. I didn't eat there. However the staff were very helpful and friendly

Popped in for breakfast, pleased to find this quaint little pub to be dog-friendly. Good food, well prepared and presented. Character-full small bar entered from the main street, rustic decor, tables and chairs. Shame about the intrusive high-level TV but, overall, a pleasant experience.

As above, plus veggie option which may be Quorn roast or home made loaf. And delicious puddings if you can manage them after the very generous portions.
