Description: Watfords Saffron is a popular and sophisticated Indian restaurant...
Watfords Saffron is a popular and sophisticated Indian restaurant serving unusual regional dishes alongside classic curries and just a ten minute walk from the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio Tour. The traditional interior, with crisp white tablecloths, dark wooden chairs and white walls decorated with Indian wooden carvings and artworks, is busy with couples and groups in the evenings and increasingly with enthusiastic sightseers keenly dissecting their day spent on the pavements of Hogsmeade. Saffrons menu is a lengthy selection of fine Indian classics from throughout the countrys many and varied culinary regions. Delicately put together by the kitchens skilful team, dishes are distinctive and authentic, spiced the spices ground and mixed freshly each day - and cooked according to tradition whether originating from the sun drenched shores of Goa or from the southern fringes of Bangladesh.

Incredible food!!

This was our first visit and will certainly not be our last. The food was the best Indian we'd had for a very long time! Atmosphere was great and staff were really friendly. Can't wait to go back....

We visited the restaurant after looking on Google for nearby restaurants upon leaving the Harry Potter studio tour. This restaurant was a short drive so we decided to give it a try and I'm very glad we did! We were welcomed and seated immediately and attentively given menus. Within a few moments our drinks orders were taken and along with... More

I had been advised by friends of the Saffron. I had previously driven past the parade of shops it resides on many a time, but had not seen it. We finally visited the Saffron. It was the tastiest Indian meal I had enjoyed for many years in Watford. The food was plentiful, I went for the Chicken Tika Balti and... More

Lovely local Indian, fast friendly and efficient service is only the start. The food is top quality with good sized portions at reasonable prices. We never tire of the menu choice. They also provide a first rate fast home delivery service.

After visiting Warner Brothers studio for the Harry Potter experience, we stopped off at the Saffron for dinner on the way home, and what a find! The food was amazing and the ambiance was good. By their own admission they are not the cheapest but they are still cheaper than some inferior restaurant's we have been to. We will defiantly... More

The Mrs and I went for an evening meal last week, and decided to try something new instead of our usual local. We booked a table for Saturday at 7 and right upon arrival we knew we made the right decision. The atmosphere was lively, but still quiet enough to have a nice evening out. We were welcomed by the... We had a takeaway from here - staff over the phone seemed friendly but for some reason did not agree to give the 10% discount which was offered on the menu for orders of £15 or more...there is no mention that it's for collection only... The food itself was decent although I will admit I have had better Indian takeaways... More

Short of going to India (well, Bangladesh, which is whence the wonderful and faultless Saffron staff hail) I don't think better Indian food exists in the UK. Tayyab's in Whitechapel comes close, but Saffron's staff really are the best. Kind, caring and they always treat you as their honoured guest - which is just as it should be.

We stopped after a long visit to Harry Potter Studios and picked up some food to bring back to our hotel. The staff was very friendly while we waited and the food was excellent! Everyone loved the butter chicken, from the 8yr old and up. The Nan is fluffy and delicious and other courses we had were very good.
