This is one of the best restaurant chains if you require Gluten Free food. The majority of the menu is either GF or can be GF. A wide selection and the staff are very knowledgable. I joined their 'club' by giving them my email and they send special offers, the last one was 30% off the main menu. A very... More

Despite being a chain, this restaurant serves reasonably good food and is very reasonable. I was very tempted to get the 32oz charolais steak to share, but settled for French onion soup to start, which is always fantastic. I had the 15oz rib eye on the bone with bearnaise sauce as a main and it was tasty and filling. My... More

Not usually a fan of chain restaurants that rely on their brand, but my friend has just moved to the area and we went for a late lunch while helping them move in. It was quite busy, but you wouldn't know by the service. Our waiter, Domonic, was on hand with drinks, offering more when he saw us running low.... More

Visited cafe rouge on a Tuesday night and was surprised how many people were in there, we was paying with tesco vouchers & think everyone else had the same idea, waiter was good but the food was pretty tasteless, mussels in wine more like mussels in water & we're not very warm either, wife wasn't overly impressed with her meal,... Staff were very attentive and friendly, always checking on you to see if there is anything they can do. The only bad points were a bit of metallic confetti in my soup, which was dealt with immediately by both the server and the manager to my satisfaction, and my steak was served "well done" despite being ordered "medium" however it... It is surprising to find a "chain restaurant" that maintains such a high standard of food & service. The house wine is always good. The chef wasn't afraid to send the fillet 'bleu' & my wife enjoyed the sea bass. I'll probably the little pots of escargot in crumble next time!

Nice restaurant, pleasant service. Our steak was ordered medium but was well done. The manager did discount the meal which was a nice gesture. Overall a nice meal.

It last a last minute decision and had a pleasant eating experience. The Hoegarden is a great beer and a good start. We didn't have starters just mains & desserts. I had a Bistro Salad which was fresh and tasty. My wife a steak & chips which she enjoyed. Finished by ice cream and tart tatin was a good end.... More

After a few years absence, I was invited to eat here with a friend I have to say that certainly the Maidstone location is very good, usual CR food but cooked well and served with a smile, my faith may well have been restored.
