We came here on a Friday after work, it was packed! Lots of people here and the parking was a nightmare. Hardly any disabled spaces and had to park up the road. However, the food and staff were faultless and we really enjoyed it. Drinks and food were quick to come out and was so delicious. I had a mushroom... More

The food was decent, the atmosphere was good, service not the best but i have experienced worse. Would certainly return even if it's just for a beer in the bar.

Visited for a retirement/60th birthday party with 20 friends and family. All tables were reserved in one room. Food came fast and was lovely, we shared the chicken and halloumi swinging kababs and both were very nice. Everyone left happy. Would book again.

Popped in for a quick drink on a Saturday and we were met with 40+ yr old divorcees with horrendous fake tan, dodgy eyebrows and the smell of desperation..and that was just the men. Terrible clientele trying to pose with 4 quid prosecorrrrrrrr Won't be returning!

Visited on a mildly busy Friday lunchtime. Service was reasonably polite but terribly slow - 3 hours for 2 courses & hot drinks (gave up on pudding). We didn't chase very often but even so this was unacceptably slow. Most food was good and some was great - most notably the King prawns in garlic & chilli which was divine.... More

I have always thoroughly enjoyed the meals at the Victoria Inn. It is a great place for meeting up for lunch and or a lovely evening meal. I personally do not like Friday or Saturday night but that may be because I am 53 and like a nice relaxed atmosphere and it is packed to the point you cant get... More

We are a group of ex colleagues who meet here regularly every few months for a meal and a chat. We are not in a particular hurry but recently have been asked on booking to choose our food in advance to avoid any delay. I have tried to explain that this is not practical for our group as several have... More

Brilliant beer and the haddock and chips were good too. Unfortunately the ambience was not conducive for enjoying a relaxed meal by the playing of the type of music and a volume level that was inappropriate. If you want a quiet meal I suggest you go elsewhere.

Odds are high of getting a good meal here at lunch or dinner. Ive eaten here loads of times and only been disappointed on occasion. Number of snack and sandwiches on the menu has decreased in the last year which is a shame. Main meals are expensive. I wouldn't recommend the goats cheese Rarebit however tikka wrap is good. The...
