Food was not great irrespective of the above average prices charged. Disappointed and won’t be going back unfortunately. We’ll stick with our local pub. However, lovely location and friendly staff.

We visited the Queens after seeing it on Four in a bed . It looked lovely and it exceeded all our expectations. The rooms are absolutely stunning . We stayed in room 5 . It was a big room . The interior design was gorgeous.... The bed was huge , the bed linen soft and luxurious and the mattress superior quality . We had a huge en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower over the bath which had excellent pressure. The room was pristine. There was a big choice for breakfast. My husband had the large cooked and I the small which in my opinion was large ! The chef came out for chat each morning which was great . We had the range of breakfast, lunches and dinner and all the food was superb. Amy and her team were lovely and gave us lots of advice where to visitMore

Meal for 15 for husbands birthday .. everyone’s meal was excellent from starter to sweet. Generous portions, well presented and served with a smile. Staff had great customer service skills. We all enjoyed the evening very much. Highly recommended.

Having had to cancel our 50th Wedding Anniversary twice due to covid restrictions it was great to finally get it done. 23 family and friends attended the occasion on a busy Wednesday evening for the Queens staff who managed the meal with professionalism and a...very friendly attitude in particular Oliver and Sophie who had not only our party to contend with but other diners. There was not one complaint about the quality of the food served and many noted the good size of the meals and the speed in which they were served. The Queens have just had a change of management and the previous incumbents will be a hard act to follow but they seem to be managing that and I wish them all the best for the future.More

Went for an impromptu lunch..so worth a visit. Deco was impeccable. Service was excellent, so polite and friendly. Food was gorgeous. My husband decided to have the mixed grill which was huge.....2 lamb chops, 2 sausages, gammon, steak, black pudding, fried egg, portobello mushroom, salad...and chunky chips. I choose the Thai sweet potato curry with basaltic rice and nan bread. They were both absolutely delicious and nothing left on the plate. I had a sneaky Eaton mess to follow which didn't disappoint. Will certainly be going again.More

We were staying in the hotel. An absolute delight to find such an excellent restaurant. Firstly to mention Ollie and Sophie, a credit to the establishment with their very professional and friendly manner and service. My wife's fish and chips...a large perfectly battered piece of...cod that overhung the plate, my rib eye, beautifully tender...and all at very reasonable prices. Totally amazed to see negative reviewsMore

To be honest we have Raved to all our Friends about the Horton and found it more than delightful on may occasions pre Covid though tonight it has to be said we were so very disappointed and found the Menu poor and very expensive at...£85.00 for a below average Wednesday night treat tea...for My son and Husband and I . We paid £5.50 for a Sharing Garlic & Herb Focaccia Bread that was so small when it arrived at the tables I thought another would be coming out but sadly what was on our plate was it not even a hands width of bread.. four bites and it had gone definitely portioned for ONE only not sharing at all . Disappointed with Onion rings with Burgers as totally soaked in oil tasted of nothing and were inedible.. All in all feel that we wasted our money which is more then disappointingMore

We’ve just been here for lunch with my father in law for his first trip out in a while and we couldn’t have picked a better place. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and efficient, the beer is excellent and good recommendations...on the wine. The food is well done and large portions, I had fish and chips and the batter was light and crispy with perfectly cooked fish. Desserts (if you have room) are also yummy!!More
