Getting take away for years. Authentic Indian food, especially North Indian style. Butter chicken as good as five star hotel in Delhi! Great options for vegetarians. Every dish is distinct and flavoursome.
Second time ordering from this restaurant this month. The first the food was lovely, if a little oily, however tonights order, our New Year's Eve treat was completely inedible. Both dishes and sides were so salty we've had to throw them away.
Rounds up 2020...nicely. Beware this restaurant.More
We visited New Delhi restaurant for a casual dinner get together. The ambience is decent and the waitress friendly. Indoor seating was comfortable. Although the waiting period were quite long. Food portions are on the smaller side however, they taste authentic! We enjoyed gobhi manchurian,...spring rolls, ragda pattice, paneer tikka for starters followed by paneer and chicken kadhai, lachha paranthe, roti & garlic naan for main course. We surely are returning to and recommending New Delhi.

My family and I visited New Delhi restaurant in Swindon for lunch. Upon entering we were hit with an extremely strong and overpowering scent of incense which wasn’t the best start. We were greeted by a very friendly young lady who seated us. We decided...to have chilli panner and mix grill for starter which was ok. We had a few different dishes for main course which were all ok but nothing to write home about. The young lady recommended the filled paratha which were very nice. Overall, we felt the food didn’t meet our expectation. We have been lucky enough to visit many Indian restaurants over the years but i would say this one falls short of taste and quality. The price seem inflated for quality of food served . The saving grace was the waitress. She was friendly, personal, charismatic, knowledgeable about the menu and nothing was to much trouble.More
Although this restaurant looks more like a cafe, I would definitely recommend visiting. The staff are very friendly and the food is brilliant. My meal smelled amazing when it was brought out and tasted delicious (I had the Railway Curry with Special Rice).
We dropped in on a Saturday night without a reservation, and were pleasantly surprised that they had some free tables and could offer us one! However, there was only one waitress, who seemed to be trying to do front of house/'meet and greet', plus serving...drinks AND taking food orders.
We ordered a bottle of white wine, starters and main courses, but after 20 minutes our bottle of wine still hadn't arrived - it takes mere seconds to grab a bottle from the fridge and place it on a table. If drinks are delivered, customers are usually happy to wait for the food - even if it's slow to arrive. Plus giving the customers their drink "locks" them in - they are committed to staying at that point. The group of four people on the table next to us had been waiting for absolutely ages and still hadn't managed to even order a drink. This did not bode well!
We've had very slow service in New Delhi before, but this was a ridiculous amount of time without even a drink. They definitely need to address their staffing levels during busier periods. After 20 minutes, we decided to cut our losses, cancelled our order with an apology, and left.More
