We went for at team night out. Pre-orders taken in advance because of the size of the group. Lovely cocktails in the bar downstairs and then moving upstairs for food that was really tasteful executed. The wine list was short but good. Most importantly, the...service from staff was outstanding. We were made to feel special and important throughout - the input of the team at Palfrey’s really added to a wonderful evening.More

Went to The Palfrey for a meal before watching the new Bond film. The setting of The Palfrey is stunning in a small courtyard shared with a few restaurants/bars. On entering, we loved the decor and ambience and the staff were very friendly and attentive....What can I say about the food, it was outstanding. To start we shared an antipasti board and the meats and sides were of a very high quality. My main of fillet steak with triple cooked truffle fries, what can I say. The steak was the best I’ve had in a very long time and I eat steak out frequently. I truly want the truffle fries recipe from the chef as again, I have had these elsewhere and these were mouthwatering to say the least. My husband had the fish and chips and he said that was very good. We will definitely return as we have found a gem in The Palfrey. The Palfrey is an intimate size and I hope it stays that way. See you soon.More

One of the best, or perhaps even the best place for a drink or two if out and about in town, staff are always welcoming and provide an excellent service.

Absolutely perfect. We both had the garlic mushroom Kiev to start and I had the duck which was so delicious with the most lovely potato dauphinoise. Should’ve ordered a side of vegetables as didn’t realise it didn’t come with anything else! Then the dark chocolate...fondant which was the ideal end to the meal. Attentive, friendly staff in a lovely setting made it a really lovely evening.More

An awesome Sunday 3 course lunch made better by Kiana, (I hope I’ve split it correctly) Tom and the team! I had the mushroom Kiev starter followed by the trio of meat roast and the fondant to finish! All courses were phenomenal, attention to detail...in the flavours and presentation. The portions are great you just didn’t want to finish it was excellent! The service was impeccable, Kiana was so welcoming and genuinely friendly which made the experience top notch. My friend and I kept saying throughout how good she is! Tom is always most hospitable, a great manager and made sure everything was just so! I’ve been a few times and kept promising to do a review so now here it is! Thank you againMore

I'm not sure why I haven't written a review for here yet! The Palfrey is my favourite resturant in Derby, without doubt! We have eaten here many times and also enjoyed their heat-at-home meals during lockdown. The food is always excellent and their Sunday Lunch...is the best in town. The staff are always friendly and efficient and Tom makes the best cocktails!More

You might want to phone/email the restaurant directly for that. I know they do private hire but not sure of numbers etc.
