I rang to make a booking for 1.45, Sunday lunch for 8 people. I was told it would have to be 1.30 or 2.00,so I decided 2.00. We arrived before 2.00 to be told our table wasn't ready, by 2.15 a member of our party asked why we was waiting, especially seeing as there was a lot of tables vacant... More

Carvery was not very hot good selection of veg, however beef was tender, but not overcooked, chef seemed to struggle to understand English, roost potatoes not crispy and Yorkshire puddings disappointing. The surf platter was very good but served on a slate not a plate. Desserts OK and well presented. Expensive for quite an uninspiring lunch.

We held our wedding celebrations at the Coopers arms and what a fantastic day we had. Amy and her staff were amazing and looked after our guests PERFECTLY.!!! We are still getting comments on how beautiful the day was. The 4 course wedding breakfast was amazing and the buffet in the evening was just as good and drew great comments... More

Not been for a while, but still as good. We all had carvery, the meat was tender, the plates hot, the veg cooked perfect and a nice choice. Not too busy if you go around midday. Last time we went the standard was high, this time was as good. And passion fruit cheesecake was exceptional.

Went on a busy Sunday, but I get the impression all Sundays are busy, we hadnt booked so were placed upstairs in what I can only presume is the forgotten room and looks and feels more like a school dining room. The waitress who placed us and took our order for drinks was very polite, but didnt say Ill be... More

Although The Coopers is our local we haven't eaten here in a while. We booked in for today which we knew would be busy with it being a Sunday but decided against the carvery even though it looked very tasty. I ordered the Coopers Allotment for starter which is a mushroom and walnut pate served in plant pots. It's very... More

We go here regularly and it never fails! The carvery is always amazing, and on the one time I ordered off the menu that was brilliant. The service is good and they are very helpful.

We went for a family meal and most of us had carvery, some had a la carte options. At the time of ordering Staff said we would be told when the a la carte items were nearly ready so that the rest of the party could get their carvery meals at the same time. I'm theory a nice idea. We... More
