Found this cafe by accident up an alley near the cathedral. Helpful friendly staff made us feel welcome and our lunches were excellent.

We happened on Peppers quite by accident. The place we'd planned to visit was full, so, pondering where to go instead, we followed a sign down an alleyway on the off-chance. The alleyway was actually Bull Lane, and the sign led us to Peppers. Which was also full. But the very enthusiastic staff said, choose what you want to eat,... More

I was pretty impressed with this cafe serving many delicious, healthy options and tasty vegan options too! I had a lovely lentil and coconut soup and an avocado salad sandwich :) there is a cosy place upstairs with lots of interesting art and blankets for cold winter days! Next time I come to Gloucester, I am definitely coming here.

Amazing food, nice and healthy with lots of variety. Such a quirky place down an alley off the main street. I went to watch some live music during the blues festival and discovered this hidden gem with a lovely courtyard serving up bbq sausages. Loved it!

Our first visit to this friendly little cafe near to the town centre, serving a good menu selection. Order & pay at the counter downstairs and your order will be brought to your table, upstairs or down. We had a lunch of veg curry with rice, and a delicious lentil and coconut soup plus sandwich. So pleasing to see a... More

Nice friendly place, food was lovely and good value, will definitely return. We had the curry and the Moroccan stew, great grub on a winters day.

Why do I love Peppers? So many reasons. It's established itself in the heart of Gloucester as an independent, down to earth eatery that prides itself on great quality, organic ingredients, lots of choice (you could eat here for a month without having the same thing twice) and friendly service. Peppers is as far from your average chain coffee shop... More

Love this cafe. It was my daughter's first choice for lunch when celebrating her GCSE results. Over the last three weeks I have tried a different soup each visit, all have been delicious. When you can't decide between the choices, they even give you a little taste pot to help you make your mind up.

Amazing unique food. Very tasty. Coconut and lentil soup was delicious, so was the Caribbean style curry.

We were warmly welcomed on entering the cafe, and when faced with a bewildering blackboard display of food available, accepted the recommendations of one of the staff members. When it arrived, it's presentation, in two mismatched bowls, was consistent with the ambience of the dining area, 'shabby chic meets charity warehouse', with plenty of evidence that the cafe supported a...
