About
The Traveller’s Rest dates from the middle of the 17th Century and offers fantastic views over Crimple Valley, and for those twitchers amongst us don't forget all the Red Kites we have flying by and the white crow that roosts in the tree opposite. This quaint, rural pub is one of two pubs on the famous 'Ringway Walk' around Harrogate which runs along the private lane where the Traveller's Rest is situated. We are a stone's throw from the affluent spa town of Harrogate so you have the best of both worlds. The interior boasts old wooden beams, a stoned floor area and also a light airy conservatory which leads to the garden area. This is a perfect place for a celebration or get together for a function.

Moved to Harrogate a couple of weeks ago and found this lovely pub for Sunday lunch which was great. Brought friends this weekend and again the food was lovely. Just ‘proper food’ best pie, superb burger my daughter declared they best ever lasagne’ - run...by a lovely guy called Mark who is so welcoming. Love it - what a find, so dog and people friendly just what a great Yorkshire pub should be like.More

We thought we would try it.my wife had pan fried salmon with samphire sauce, she is still raving about it.I had haddock and chips probably the best I have ever had and I am 73.The pub is quaint and secluded but a stone's throw from the...main drag.Excellent service and a thoroughly enjoyable experience. What a CHEF.More

A nice little pub with friendly staff and visitors. The food is very good, portion sizes are good, you certainly don't come away hungry! Prices are right for the food they are serving. We will be visiting again next time we are staying at the...caravan park.More

We popped in here again after many meals with family but this was the first time with just the dog and my wife. In coronavirus times we were greeted with a welcome and full safety drill. Once seated we were very well looked after... and...the tired cocker received a couple of biscuits and a lovely pot of fresh water. The food was very good... the burgers are simply fabulous. We were so impressed we are going back in a few days time. Rusty is a lovely chap and it was great to meet him amd his team of happy, enthusiastic staff. Looking forward to our next meal.More

Good quality food, ample portions, nice views of the countryside. Fairly basic menu, the prices were average for the area.

Great food. Steak pie had more soft meat in it than there is in a cow! Good price. Good beer. Child friendly. Lovely staff. Will be going again.

Six of us ate here yesterday and the food was very good. Top marks for the garlic prawns in a delicious creamy sauce as a starter. Would make a lovely main meal with rice. The main meals were all delicious, and the portions were amazing....The staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. Will definitely be back. We would like to sample the Sunday lunch at some point.More

Disappointing to hear on our arrival that the landlord had decided not to take part in the Gov UK 'Eat out to help out' initiative. However, credit where it's due my wife and I had two delicious, well presented hot meals - as detailed below....The staff were also very friendly and courteous. They weren't the cheapest of pub meals, but certainly no problem with quality!More

What a quaint little pub. Dog friendly and has beer garden. Wheelchair accessible but a little tight through doors. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is delicious and freshly prepared. Views are fantastic. Down the lane is a good cycle and walks. Worth a visit
