We went on the sput of the moment This is a great little place everything freshly made and baked and a fantastic gluten free menu. Be aware it is cash only but not an issue really. Staff were friendly and helpful so nice it brought back memories of my parents and my childhood.

The food and presentation was great. At the time of booking we were not told about the cash only rule. On paying the bill we wanted to pay by debit card. We were told in not such a friendly manner that a card payments were not accepted. I only had Euros and my guest did not have quite the amount... More

According to TripAdvisor you have visited us twice before and would have paid in cash on those visits.. You also left us two 5 star reviews. It states quite clearly in block capitals (not smallprint) on the menu and on our website that we are cash only. Shouting at my staff "May I suggest you tell everybody when they book... More

If you like the 1940s you will love Sophie Ts. Today was my third visit (unfortunately I only had time for a quick tea and scones) but as with pasts visits it was very enjoyable. As well as the tea and scones being very tasty, served by a very friendly lady, there is a good collection of 1940s memorabilia to... More

Great venue and I really loved the whole feel to the tearoom. As it was a treat, we all ordered a cream tea. We were served two, tiny scones, tasty but really little more than a mouthful each. Vintage in all things including rationing.

I feel embarrassed to report that although I live within 3 miles of Sophie T's Vintage Teashop, I had not been in. Until today... And what a delightful place I discovered it is! The décor and atmosphere is wonderfully quaint, with a real nostalgic feel. The staff are friendly, and the whole place is filled with details and memorabilia from... More

True to all the great reviews- quaint, quirky with good quality food. Both downstairs and upstairs were clean and tidy which is sometimes hard to achieve with 'memorabilia' around. Delicious sandwich fillings, amazing cakes (superior bakewell tart!!) All very generous. A nice treat for a Saturday afternoon. It is a personal preference- but I do like paper towels to dry... Thank you for your kind comments. We are well known for our cakes! Regarding paper towels, we have tried them but our old plumbing can't cope with them being disposed of in the toilet! The local plumber however was delighted! More
