We bought Afternoon Tea vouchers for my parents and my husband had also bought a voucher for me. We had the most amazing food which was served promptly which was impressive as it was a very busy Saturday afternoon. We had had to cancel previously due to illness which wasn't a problem. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food and the... More

Really quaint, China cups, beautiful knitted tea cozys, and loads of items from the past you can read or look at....and the food was 1st class..If you go on a busy day it might be better to book.

Been here three times now and always a delight! Food is delicious, the surroundings are comforting and nostalgic - reminds me of my grandmother! The staff are friendly and attentive! Always a pleasure :)

A fantastic visit to Sophie T's with a warm welcome and delicious homemade food. The Teashop itself is beautifully decorated with genuine vintage items and hand knitted tea cosies which are available to purchase. No where else even comes close and I can't recommend it enough!

off the beaten track, but easy to find. very themed for a traditional 40's tea shop, complete with props and music. decent tea list, and pleasant menu. but was hoping/expecting more. not busy but not a great welcome, and made to feel like we were imposing. and very much a 2nd class service compared to their friends

My partner works in a care home where they had a need for a small function and Sophie T's was recommended to supply the food. I've been asked to say that the they considered the food "fantastic and they were very impressed" (her words). They will definitely be using them again.

Me and the kids took my Mum there today as it was my Mum and Dad's wedding anniversary but unfortunately my Dad is no longer with us. Wanted to do something different with Mum to make her smile. I phoned on the Monday to book a table the following day and had no problem. We arrived 10 minutes early but... More

This Teashop feels a bit 'cliquey' - the regular customers get much more attention than newbies which shouldn't happen, and a friendly welcome is not given. The manager is quite abrupt and the food is ok - just average. Also, the top floor of the Teashop ( where we were dumped) is not 'vintage' at all - it's just a... More

If this visit was in March, why wait so long to be rude? If there were problems at the time, they could have been brought to my attention at the time and it would have given me an opportunity to address them. However we are a 1940's vintage Teashop. We have a lot of genuine 1940's memorabilia on display upstairs.... More

After hearing many people's opinions about the staff being rude unwelcoming and friendly I very much now agree. After visiting the place I've come away feeling very unhappy. Not once did the staff smile and make any of us feel welcoming. The food and cakes are yummy and presented well, which is why it's a shame the staff are so... More

Came here with my elderly parents and we got non-stop satisfaction from entering the tea shop. No car park but plenty of parking on the road as there isn't much else in the village apart from the pub next door! All of the staff are happy and eager to help with any questions. The food is amazing. We all had... More
