Very poor service. Rude inattentive staff. Warm rather than hot food. Some items not available although pre-ordered. Slow service - after waiting 20 minutes for ordered deserts to appear we decided to forgo the order and departed paying just for what we had individually ordered for the main course.

The Ramblewood has so much going for it but it's let down by mediocre service. A converted stable block, attached to the Orton Hall Hotel set in a woodland setting, next to an ancient village church, The Ramblewood has a picture postcard setting & promises a great deal from the outside. It all goes downhill once you step inside the... More

Adequate Scampi and chips, served in silly pots and baskets which tasted OK ...sadly the green lettuce salad was brown from over exposure or kept from previous day. Better half had sweet chilli beef (unusually served in batter and drowned in a sticky very hot chilli sauce) on a bed of mixed (old ) lettuce leaves. This did not taste... More

We booked as a group of friends for lunch and really enjoyed the fabulous surroundings on the terrace. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and the service was good. I had the scampi and was not disappointed. After a relaxing meal we paid with our two for one meal vouchers (from website). A lovely, inexpensive meal in stunning surroundings.

Id always heard good enough things about the Ramblewood so very was disappointed after a recent visit. I asked first for Scampi but they said they'd no peas to go with it. In the end I plumped for a Cheeseburger.... and what I got was an oversized packet cold bun, an overcooked small burger and one piece of plastic cheese.... More

The pork chop was tough for both our friends who ordered it, no sharp knives available had to ask. Plus string in the scampi

We came here as we were staying in the hotel next door. Staff were friendly but very slow. We waited what seemed like an eternity for food to arrive and my oh my it was terrible. The £10.95 burger was a tiny overcooked patty and the soup was vile. Absolutely disgusting, I actually threw up. Never again.

The staff are very helpful and are happy to make adjustment to your meal if they can. Really enjoyed the goats cheese starter and the steak. No gluten free desserts though

This was our first visit and the pub is overall very nice looking in a scenic area with a nice hotel along side. When we went in we were ignored by the restaurant staff but the chef looked after us and was very nice and accommodating. Once we ordered the food was nice although the steak we ordered was undercooked... More
