The staff are very helpful and are happy to make adjustment to your meal if they can. Really enjoyed the goats cheese starter and the steak. No gluten free desserts though

This was our first visit and the pub is overall very nice looking in a scenic area with a nice hotel along side. When we went in we were ignored by the restaurant staff but the chef looked after us and was very nice and accommodating. Once we ordered the food was nice although the steak we ordered was undercooked... More

The staff were lovely and friendly, atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant was good. However, food was disappointing. Scampi was flat and not puffy and fresh, found a hair in my stuffed chicken (The chef did come out and make me a fresh one but he was very unprofessional; "The other chef is doing my head in and not putting... Bit pricey, food is okay , pub is in need of a makeover, is set in a beautiful grounds and area.... Staff are friendly, and a quiet pub atmosphere.

A pub which has very little staff, who are overworked and very little time to do anything to make our time special! I'm writing this review in hopes some higher manager can take some time and see how badly their team are sinking! I came last year, I had a really nice time with no complaints so I came back.... It's hard to know where to begin; this isn't a quaint smart pub adjoining the Best Western. It has been mentioned by others there can be rowdy sweary customers, and this was certainly the case on our visit! We had booked for food in advance and were only offered a table later in the evening, this was ok but not... More

Cant wait for changes on the main menu. Gary the waiter was as helpful as always and Pat... More

Nice pub but quite expensive - we should have checked the bill receipt (we were not given one). Rowdy, 'sweary' customers were not challenged in spite of a clientele that included young family diners.

We came here for a family dinner and all had the Carvery. We found the service had greatly improved over previous visits and top marks must go to the new chef Anton as the food was amazing. Plenty of fresh meat and veg all cooked to perfection. Will definitely be returning.
