Welcoming good food, lovely staff good knowledge of the menu and advised when necessary . Attractive building in a nice village location close to Peterborough and its show ground. Also near to the Marriott hotel for an over night stay if you want to enjoy a few drinks

Why does this pub run out of Sunday lunch every Sunday by 3pm? The owners obviously are not bothered in making money!! Bizarre! Desserts take ages to come and service is very slow and actually quite rude. Only saving grace is they have a cracking Malbec on the wine list!

Visited here for birthday meal. Arrived early for a drink in the garden, the bar area was full of empty glasses. Took a long time to be served due to many people waiting for drinks and so few bar staff. Meal itself was slow and uninteresting. The waitress who seated us looked exhausted and rushed off her feet, but didn't... More

A very nice historic building in a nice village with a good garden. Checking out the menu before we booked Sunday dinner at 8pm we were very tempted by the choices, especially the good choice of roasts. We had pre chosen what we fancied only to be disappointed, absolutely nothing left from the roasts and several of the puddings finished... More

Two of our three main dishes weren't cooked through and completely inedible. These had to be sent back but even when the replacements arrived the quality of the food was awful. It was either off or it had been bought in very cheaply. The other main was chicken which was thinly cut and so over-cooked it was like cardboard. This... More

Was only one space in the car park, so we knew it would be busy. We had booked a table for 7 pm and the place was very busy. We had to wait to get a drink and then to be shown a table, I admit we didn't wait that long but after we sat down waited about 1/2 hour... More

Ordered a sandwich but was told no panini bread so compromised by having a burger roll. The chips were limp and luke warm, sandwich was OK BUT the plate used was disgusting. I highlighted the filthy plate but did not make a big fuss-got the impression the standards have really slipped in this place also judging by the terrible recent... More
