Great frontage - looks really appealing. Called in mid afternoon - All tables dirty and needed cleaning clearly from a busy lunch period - asked staff for a cloth - she came back with a spray right across the table and said nothing - clearly felt I had put her out.Real shame that staff can make somewhere so unwelcome without... The service we received and the friendliness of the staff was exceptional. The food was of a very high standard and there was an excellent choice. We were served promptly and we will definately be returning.

Had my wedding reception here on the 4th July x food was fabulous and staff friendly. Love this pub and it's character. Was a bit dissapointed at the amount of money that was spent a glass of something would of been nice to celebrate our marriage!!!! But nothing. We had a nice area and the weather was fabulous x

We booked The Snug Room for a family function. The staff were very helpful and the food was delicious. Alwalton is a lovely peaceful village and we enjoyed a drink after in the restaurant gardens. Would Recommend a visit.

Had dinner here with a work colleague and it was lovely! They never had any pizza but it was a nice day so maybe it had been busy earlier. Had the risotto and it was delicious. The building itself is really quaint and old fashioned, very pretty with all the lovely flowers outside. Fined outside and there are plenty of... More

The pub itself is a beautiful old building in a lovely village. Unfortunately the food is an extreme let down. The menu looks good but what's served is all pre-prepared, microwaved rubbish. Really disappointing, not fresh and overpriced. It's a real shame because the service is good too so not sure what's been going wrong for the last year in... More

On entering the Cuckoo pub, I ask one of the servers if they had an available table for two, his answer was Nahhhhh.... no chance you will have to sit in the bar and order your food from the bar and walked off, very aggressive tone and abrupt greeting. Management, you clearly haven't given this young boy any training what... More

We have had many visits before yesterday. But this time food was awful and service slow because short staffed. I ordered gammon bacon chips and egg. Bacon was thick streaky and burnt , very fatty. Not the standard of their normal gammon and chips now not on the menu. My husband said his fish and chips was not too good... More

A pretty pub with garden eating as well. Pub offers 2 course specials, which we planned to have, but we found 1 course was plenty. I had a enjoyable beetroot and cheese tart with a side salad, which was tasty. Pub very busy, so we were warned that we would have a short wait. Very convient to Peterborough and worth... More
