Staff were cold and unhelpful and food was average. Bruschetta was good. Arrabiata sauce just tasted like a tin of tomatoes. After dinner I asked if they do a flat white to which he said they did. The waiter brought me a black coffee with milk on the side. When I told him I thought it was going to be... More

I was really looking forward to lunch with friends at Rucola. What a disappointment it turned out to be. The food was ok-ish, in terms of taste, although it was rather sparse. Service was pretty non-existent inasmuch as, other to actually deliver the plates and the bill to the table, no one came near us. Worst of all though, was... More

I visited Rucola for the first time recently. Food was ok though the lunch time avocado and bacon salad developed quickly into a game of 'find the avocado'. Main course of fish was flavoursome though accompanying sauté potatoes (oddest I have ever eaten) and seasonal vegetables consisted of simply broccoli. Fortunately not a dish I object to but maybe a... More

I cannot believe I have passed by this local gem before now. This is because from the outside it doesn't look busy inside but once inside it is completely the opposite. Lovely Trebbiano wines, beautiful complimentary garlic bread, great veg sides and my favourite arrabiata! The sweet trolley is very old school along with the staff and I like it!

Staff very warm and welcoming, always smiling and courteous. Great extensive menu with plenty of choice and a good specials board too. Garlic breads are authentic and very good, grilled sardines great. The mains of pasta were very small considering you pay extra for them to be a mains size and certainly you won't be full. Both para dishes were... More

We wanted to eat early and were first through the door when they opened on Sunday. We have eaten there before and once again have only good things to say. Food excellent and staff all very nice.

Despite the contempory feel to the restaurant, underneath there is a real Italian heart beating. Good old fashioned service, where the food is prepared at the table ie sea bass taken off the bone. And the sweet trolley coming around to choose from brought back lots of 70's memories. At the end of meal the staff all say goodbye including... More

Visited on the Friday evening before Christmas with friends and as expected it was busy. However we've been here a few times before and it's always busy and as usual they managed very well. If anything, the service has become better with a couple of new, young waiters that are very polite and attentive. As usual the food was very... More

Good service, really fancy. The lasagnas were good! Said by an Italian. The lunch prices are competitive. Dinner is slightly expensive for my budget, but it's still a nice deal considering the whole atmosphere
