Stopped off for what could have been a lucrative lunch for the hotel where we would have had lunch, drinks & coffee but after being shown to our table in the dark, dingy bar we decided lunch only. Terrible mistake, we should have just walked out. A chicken panini costing nearly €10 made with scraps of chicken that you'd give... More

Usually to go Wicklow Heather for lunch but came here today for a change but will not be back. Firstly we were shown to a dirty table. Then they took the order of others who came in after us while we were still waiting. I got lunch but my mother only fancied a tea and scone. Instead of bringing everything... More

I attended conference here where they persuaded us to pay €10 for a two-course lunch which consisted of a miniature pie. The second course was water. The hotel is in a beautiful location, but the lunch is tourist rip-off at its worst. Won't be back.

We stopped here for a visit to the lakes on our day trip from Dublin. Since we had time, we sat on the patio of the hotel and had peppermint tea and dessert. The setting is gorgeous. The beauty of nature all around is breathtaking. Our desserts were super fresh, well presented and delicious. Server was polite and efficient. Loved... More

From liaising with Management prior to our arrival to our actual arrival; the lunch couldnt have gone any smoother. The food and service was great. Nothing was too much for the staff as our group were all Senior Citizens. Repeat booking been made for next year.

Wicklow is touted as The Garden of Ireland. By that reckoning certainly greater things could be expected of this Hotel whose incredible location must cause great envy to other such business owners worldwide. Where else in the world would the lawns & gardens overlook a 6th Century (SIXTH CENTURY) vital monastic city of the Country's Patron Saint, command peace-filled &... More

The hotel is becoming a bit dated and could be doing with a décor revamp. None the less, the food is delicious and service first class.

Glendalough itself is the most beautiful natural park in the world. It has stunning views, lakes, hiking and a pure nature lovers paradise. The Glendalough Hotel is situated in the National park where you can fine with views of nature. Aside from the location the food and the service is top class. Be sure to try the hotel food after... I have been here twice in the last few weeks. The first time on a Sunday, the second time on a Saturday. In both cases the tables that were available were still covered in dishes and food from the previous customers. In both cases more than 10 minutes passed between us sitting down and the table being cleared. In fact,... More
