Within 5 minutes of arriving Michael was over chatting to us and giving us tips on places to go in Sligo, delighted we stumbled upon here on my birthday- was a night to remember! Small, but a great atmosphere, particularly with the live music.

Had been here before the past two years at the Fleadh ......and pre Fleadh. Several different local bands play here. I deliberately timed the holiday to take in Monday night but went on the Sunday instead. Fantastic band called Sunday Mass. Will be back....again!

I've visited Mc Garrigles on and off over the last 15years and can honestly say it's a Irish pub that hasn't really changed its identity much over that time. The staff are friendly, the drinks are good, the clientele is non pretentious, the fire is good during the winter months and the bathrooms are truly awful in every way but... More

McGarrigles is one of the best venues for impromptu live music in Sligo. On my most recent visit Quentin, (a guy with a guitar, a digeridoo, some electric drums and a ukelele) was brilliantly improvising something between nu-folk and drum and bass. The pub is small but friendly, and usually quite crowded - so getting to the bar can be... More

We went here on a recommendation, having been told the band that play here on a Sunday evening were good. They were fantastic, we had only planned on staying for 1 or 2 but stayed until the end we enjoyed it so much.

Stopped in here because of the live music. We are so glad that we did! It was just a bunch of local folks getting together and playing. There were musicians of all ages just enjoying themselves and playing. We also noticed a few families that were there with their young children, just spending an evening together. This was a great... Through the window, it looked cosy. We entered, the door banged behind us, I stumbled against a stool, my glasses were fogged up on account of weather. Sound bar man. Went above and beyond to meet our needs. Great pint, great pub. The kind of bar I wish I owned myself. Watch for the couch of suprises :)

Thank keith l
