I'm Italian and I was really dying for a pizza. I was a bit worried as I usually get quite disappointed but the pizza was really good. Enjoyed the place and the staff was very attentive without being in your face. Recommended!

We always try to visit this place when holidaying in Westport and it didn't disappoint on our latest visit. With three young children in tow we were glad of the friendly and prompt service and the excellent food. The homemade ice cream for visit was divine! We will be back!

We arrived late to Westport with our family. Our hotel's restaurant was closed and they recommended Il Vulcano to us. We had 2 pizzas (4 cheese and marguerite), crespelle funghi e spinaci and ravioli fungi and pancetta All food was great! And obvious just made. Very fresh and warm. The best we had in a while. Only issue was that... More

We pulled into Westport a bit late and naively hoped our party of five could get a table at La Bella Vita without a booking (VERY small restaurant). Il Volcano provided an Italian alternative. We were a little concerned the place was mostly empty on a booming Thursday night in Westport (it was full by the time we left). The... More

The first time we ate here was due to other nearby restaurants being fully booked but since then, we make a point of eating here every time we visit Westport and we have yet to be disappointed. While the general décor could be regarded as functional, both the quality of the food and the attentive service more than compensate -... More

Went here for quick Italian dinner - it was nice and food was pretty good - not the best. Good deal for early bird.

Have been here a few times now. It's good value for money, the pizza is magnificent and the menu is quite varied. I recommend it for families and groups.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident and it's an unassuming place from the outside but the food was excellent . We went for the early bird menu for €20 which included a glass of wine and all the courses were excellent even the ice cream at the end had all different flavours and not the run of the mill... Really super Italian food, looks unassuming from outside but they really know their business in the kitchen.
