As I work near by Rua is our special Lunch time treat at least twice a week and we are never disappointed. Staff are friendly and helpful and the food is always delicious. Lots of local produce and ingredients used and good value for money. The only fault is that you may have to wait for a table if you... More

Rua Deli is a Castlebar gem with a great choice of locally sourced food combined with a lovely homely atmosphere. Visited recently with colleagues in the morning and had really good scones and coffee. When we came back for lunch there was a nice choice of specials on the board and a good choice of salads and sandwiches on the... More

Had lunch here with my sister, staff are great, friendly and polite. Food was fine, it seemed nice and fresh but there's nothing exciting happening on that menu. For such a busy little spot they could do so much more. Good coffee though

We spent our gift voucher from Facebug Campers here - what a treat, fresh pasta and a sauce, great honey and strawberry preserve and some good goats cheese -

I have been to Rua a handful of times this summer and each time has been a delight. The new place on Spencer Street in Castlebar is always wedged with its lunchtime trade which proves how popular the place is. Hands down it is the best place to lunch in the town. They have a fabulous deli downstairs and do... More

Another delicious and pleasurable experience in Rua. My favourite way to start the holidays is to stop off in in Rua for their delicious Pate, to takeaway from the deli or to savour in the cafe. My husband had an amazing steak sandwich packed with the quality ingredients that Rua is so famous for. The staff were on hand, welcoming... More

I was out for lunch with family. A family member found a fly on her plate, she took it off and continued eating. A family member then see 3 small flies crawl out of the tuna.. We made the staff aware and they took the dish back. Then the manager said it was not possible the flies came from their... More

Called in for lunch with my wife again last time and I feel dissapointed. The food was amazing, fresh local produce on plate, as on our previous visit but we were so dissapointed on the service by older lady over her forties that served us. It looks like our last visit.

Visited here for my birthday and I was not disappointed. Really like going into someone's home for a meal and so many delicious choices. In the end we chose the taster menu so had a sample of most dishes all home produced and fresh made. We would certainly recommend a visit.
