It was just a beautiful meal. Nicest Ramen I have tastes in Ireland (& I've lived in Japan). Beautiful lobster roll 🥰 and the sweet bao bun with panko halloumi...oh my God. It was all just so beautiful. Then we had the vegan Apple and...rhubarb vegan crumble and the brownie. It was just fab. Thank you.More

Went here on a recent staycation to Mayo. Choose this place because of the reviews and we were not disappointed. I'm a bit of a food critic and am hard to please but I couldn't find fault with any part of this experience. Where do...I even start to describe our experience, taste buds were tingling the whole way through, food was unreal. I had the jackfruit burrito and my partner had the vegetarian linguine. Also had the ramen to start and even pushed the boat out and had pudding 🙈 something we don't do very often. Sticky toffee pudding was the best I've ever had and the apple crumble my partner had was amazing. Love the fact that they forage and had added things like nasturtium to the meals. Great touch. We had a bottle of Malbec and it was one of the best as well. Our waiter was really friendly and good fun, the ambiance of the place was lovely even during this pandemic we felt totally comfortable and safe. The décor is really cool, very industrial. What more can I say apart from go get a table booked! If we lived closer we would be there every weekend. I forgot to mention the prices were also first class. Well done everyone 👍More

Fabulous food, fabulous service! This place was recommended by our Airbnb host and a waitress from another restaurant we dined in the night before. It didn’t disappoint. It was a great taste of fusion meets Ireland. If we’re in Castlebar again we will definitely be...going back. Highly recommend to book ahead as we were told it books up quite fast.More

I booked a table for four of us. Our friend contacted House of Plates prior to going to see that her dietary requirements would be able to be met. She was replied to by email and on the day of our reservation she was also...called to see that her questions had been answered! Impressive customer care before we had even got there! I was looking forward to going here for some time and it was worth the wait! We had a very charming waiter from the Philippines, he was really on point, good fun but really very courteous! Menu was such a lovely choice of delicious dishes, they all sounded so good, and all of our selections were really tasty, lobster rolls, steaks and burgers, with really delicious Prosecco cocktails and desserts! Decor was gorgeous, really clever and funky. Cannot find anything to fault and cannot wait to return again. Thank you House of Plates♥️More

Not an exaggeration but this may be the best meal I have EVER had. I am a bit of a critic but I could not give one piece of negative criticism. I had been here once before and loved it we so made it our...mission to stay in Castlebar after cycling the greenway in order to eat here. My mum and I ordered the vegetarian korma, the goats cheese salad, sweet potato fries and the Bao Buns with vegan halloumi (I had never even heard of these and I haven’t stopped drooling since!) to share. The menu is so broad and beyond all it is shockingly amazing value for an evening meal! Another guest with us was gluten and dairy intolerant and she was well looked after. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Had never tried kombucha before but it was amazing! (& homemade on the premises). Coffee was great and served with a lovely homemade cookie which was such a lovely touch. Please open up in Roscommon - I’ll become your best customer.More

Mention the wings As they were So scrumtious as was everything else to be honest....Really nice stuff, lovely atmosphere and a cool Choice of Beers that were lovely. Overall I would Highly Recommend eating here and when I'm back in Castlebar I will defiantly try this place again 😊More
