Ate here as a family of four. Once we had found the proper entrance (to the right hand side, through the building, and not via the street level iron railings gates...ho hum), then we walked up through the bar, and onto the spacious Roof Terrace. This looks directly out onto the river, and features a large retractable sun canopy, which... More

The receptionist at The Strand hotel recommended this gastropub and I'm so glad she did. A quick walk from the hotel along the River Shannon and you're there. Friendly staff and amazing food my only recommendation is that you avoid sitting near the flowers when the wasps are at work.

Told about this by a local. It has the best seafood chowder I have ever tasted, my wife was very impressed and is now a chowder convert. Lovely view over the river and of the castle if you sit outside. Portions of food very generous.

You have to try the chicken wings. Succulent and Spicey. Enough for two. They have a gret variety of beer on tap...

Three of us happened upon this restaurant and had heard it was one to recommend. I wouldn't have thought so from my experience. Food lacked flavour, veg, soup was the ordinary run of the mill one gets in a pub-no sprig of parsley or garnish. Seafood chowder was cream based so therefore it tasted more creamy than fishy even though... More

Famous for seafood and a view over looking the river Shannon and King Johns Castle. Everything on the menu is good! From chowder, spicy chicken wings, seafood platters to modern Irish cooking all appetites are catered for in an old style pub atmosphere or country kitchen or in the extension or in the beer garden (with sports on TV).

Lovely terrace overlooking the River Shannon. Good service. The chowder was scrumptious. Bacon cabbage rolls were also quite good.

The curragower was a nice pub with good food and a lively nightlife. The staff was very nice and friendly to chat with. One of my two favorite pubs in limerick.

Thank Travis R
