Very expensive very small portion of food. Their wine selection was poor, and the glasses of wine with each course were miserable. Was since in Nevin McGuire (Blackluon, Cavan Ltd was mules better and most enjoyable.

The food here is amazing. And the service was second to none. Vincenzo and his team ensured we were always looked after and they explained each course for us. We had a great evening and we will certainly be back.

Ate here as one of four. Really cannot fault any aspect of the meal service or setting. The tasting menu is so well balanced with sublime and delicate combinations of flavour. At €68 it definitely represents some of the best value in Ireland now. The...wine list is also well priced. Very friendly staff. The really nice thing that this is Michelin starred food with none of the pretentiousness. Well worth a visit.More

We were a party of 12 who dined in the East Room last evening. The food was sublime, the staff excellent and the venue spectacular. Everyone raved about the flavours and quality of the food. Well done to the chef for presenting such a fabulous...meal. The wine was a perfect pairing for the menu. It was lovely to finish off our evening with a few drinks in the drawing room. Vincenzo and the staff were so attentive to us. It was a very, very special experience. Everyone agreed that it was the best meal we’ve ever had. As 2 of our group were in the hospitality business themselves, that is a fair tribute to all involved in delivering such a wonderful meal and overall experience. We’ll be back!! Definitely a rating of 5 on every level. Thanks again, Mary s and party.More

Delicious food and amazing service in the gorgeous surrounds of the University of Limerick. Vincenzo made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Myself and my friend both had the lunch menu which we found to be excellent value. We had wines by...the glass for each course and each was chosen along with the help and advice of Vincenzo who allowed us to taste a few before deciding. Everything was spectacular, I particularly enjoyed the beef short rib. Such an enjoyable afternoon. We will be back!More

The East Room takes you on a culinary adventure that captures all the senses from the minute you sit down at the table. Their ever-evolving tasting menu (we tried the one the restaurant had in January as well as the one from last week) is...creative, inspiring, and an absolute treat, offering multiple courses thoughtfully paired with unique wines. The service is always impeccable, and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable. If we could, we would come back several times a month!More

A Sunday lunch like no other. After Vincenzo’s hearty welcome to the splendid Plassey House, the food was amazing. The salmon starter deserves special mention - when the roe eggs burst in my mouth – superb ! After the gourmet experience, we enjoyed a leisurely...exploration of Plassey House’s art and artifacts’ collections, and quaint bathroom. Followed by a walk through the grounds of the University of Limerick, over the Living Bridge and along by the Shannon river. A Sunday afternoon to remember. An unique experience. Don’t be put off by the awkward website and intimidating booking system.More

We had dinner at the East Room, and had such a great time in a lovely setting. We are also extremely grateful to Vincenzo for graciously accomodating some of our changes due to Covid (huge loss for friends who couldn't make the wonderful dinner). The...location and dishes were explained to us with great enthusiasm and detail. Vincenzo and the lovely waitress (who pointed out that she had followed Vincenzo from another place) also constantly checked in and conversed with us. Every dish we had on the tasting menu was very enjoyable - we wish we could have had more of fish and the duck. overall a great experience and we are so glad to have found it!More

My Husband and I had dinner at The East Room 25 June. The food is exquisite, the service unbelievable and the atmosphere idyllic given the location at the old Plassey House on the grounds of Limerick University. Special words for Vincenzo who is unique and...so attentive and Holly who for one so young has such a passion for food. We will be back, thank you.More

Dining in the East Room at Plassey House in the University of Limerick is not just a meal, it's a whole experience. Limited menu but well chosen . Every bite well crafted. The experience is not just the food but the very attentive host Vincenzo...and his lovely staff. Shout out to the friendly waitress Holly. A lovely experience for a special occasion or just a treat. My wife and myself went for quiet Saturday evening dinner in the East Room in the beautiful Plassey House in UL.
