The food is good and so are the drinks. The staff is very kind. The entertainment is great! Live music some nights that is fantastic. The bar/restaurant is spacious and comfortable with a variety of seating options between booth seats and stools. Overall, I had a great experience at Lanigan's and recommend going--especially on nights with music!

We decided to have lunch here based on positive reviews on Trip advisor. We had pulled pork sandwich and Sherphen's pie, all come with chips and salad/cole slaw. All we're piping hot (I actually burnt my tounge with the chips). Pie filling was too salty for our taste, but it was OK with a pint of Guinness. There was a... More

Irish coffee, hot teas and a Jameson neat! Quick stop. Big TV and great bartenders. Clean bathrooms. Drinks all great and watched a little football. Give it a try!

Visited here with a group of friends. The downstairs was very busy but we easily got seats upstairs. One of our group order a white Russian and got what appeared to be a black Russian. We also had breakfast the next day there which was reasonable priced and pretty decent.

A friendly spacious bar/restaurant. Watch for the witches to descend down the stairway in hats and capes a bit past 8:00 as upstairs is the beginning point for the Ghost Tour of Kilkenny (this tour is highly recommended).

Girls on a shopping trip ending up in Langtons for bar food. This is what every bar in ireland should be like. Fantastic food, Fantastic atmosphere and brilliant service. Had live music not blowing the head of you on at 7pm which is a lovely treat as most bars in ireland don't have music until 9-10pm. This bar has something... More

While walking down the streets of downtown Kilkenny, we stumbled upon a cafe that had a very festive vibe to it. We were welcomed to Lanigan's with a live musician playing typical Irish tunes while the Olympics were being broadcasted on a big screen. A lady guided us to two bar stools at a very comfortable cozy corner at the... More
