My husband ordered a goats cheese salad - which was excellent with some different ingredients . I ordered pasta which was mediocre nothing to enthuse about but good value .
The restaurant was comfortable with live music which was good .
The price of a pint will usually dictates do I stay or do I go? This a a lovely friendly afternoon pub but the price of a beer is on par with Dublin pub prices.
Evening time this place bounces so go for it.
We ate here mid week and were some what disappointed. I ordered the cod, according to the menu freshly caught from Dunmore East, but what arrived resembled a giant fish finger which had clearly been cooked from frozen.

Stumbled across this place mid afternoon when we were walking and hungry. Take my word for it. The best fish chowder in Kilkenny. I wish we had gone back for steak that night. Very friendly and informative waitress (Anna). Thank you for everything.

We had a very good meal, beef and guiness stew was just delicous, bangers an mash realy good and kids cod and chips very nice. Staff was very friendly and attentiv. Music was realy enjoyable, irish the way we like it.
