A friend and myself had a fantastic lunch last friday in foodworks. Mimi had a prawn dish and I had the mussels. Both excellent. We had a carafe of French wine which was spot on. We shared a lemon drizzle meringue and lovely coffee. Staff were very friendly. Will definitely be back.

This place looks simple on the outside but I was surprised when I walked into such a nice atmosphere. Great food. We went early, around 5, and beat the rush. By the time we left around 6:15 the place was packed. I would go again. Highly recommend the cod.

Called in for lunch, chose plough mans lunch. It was the size of starter not main, plastic ham, tasteless cheese, small spoonful of pickle, spoonful of coleslaw, couple of drops of pink mayonnaise. Any basic extras to pad it out were pricey. It would not sustain any ploughman I know. A sandwich shop would have done just as well.

Just returned from a family meal in Foodworks. The food was delicious. we were a large party with a toddler and a baby in the group. We were all very pleased with our meals. Menu was varied with something to suit all tastes. Standard of food, presentation, value for money (we had the early bird menu) and staff - excellent.

Popped in here with some relations for lunch and cant say enough good things about it. The staff were lovely, but the food........oh my goodness, so fresh, hot and tasty. From the chicken and sauce in the coq au vin, ( probably spelt that wrong ) to the well presented ceaser salad, bursting with colour and flavour. With battered fresh... More

Visited last Thurs with 5 others. Lovely relaxing decor & open doors onto street so nice & airy. Staff were very helpful & friendly. Everything was really good. Some of us ordered from combined menu (great value at 2 courses for €23) - Salmon Gravlax & Cod were both excellent - there was a lovely veggie topping the cod. Very... More

Had an excellent lunch here last week. Hake was on of the lunch specials and it really was special. The Hake was beautifully cooked and came with a gorgeous spinach and herb risotto. Parmesan flakes with the Hake were a surprise and worked extremely well. The chef here knows what he is doing. This is a very good restaurant and... More

Liked the decor. The duck was just ok, a bit dry. The roast potatoes and peas served with it were tough and didn't taste very nice. The hake was just terrible..completely bland and served with a watery cauliflower puree/sauce. The service was fine.
