My girlfriend and I visited the Marble City Bar for dinner and breakfast over the weekend. In fact we were back three times and each time we were served by one of life's greatest professionals. Vinnie was so attentive and really hit the mark when it comes to placing a welcome on the mat!! Someone needs to tell him that... More

The setting is really nice, not too noisy and a perfect place to sit down and enjoy an evening. I went for the lamb shank and it was melting off... More

Had a lovely meal here. Seafood chowder was delicious. The chicken American was very good too. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The bar looks Art Deco and of course the Guiness was fab.

Had the fish and chips with tartar sauce. My dinning companions had bangers and mash, green Thai curry and the stir fry of the day. All meal that showed up were hot and good sized portions. Everyone enjoyed their meals with no complaints except a side dish of carrots and beans in some white sauce that seemed a bit strange... More

Grand fare in Kilkenny city, reasonable, tasty and filling. The only minor criticism would be that the staff were a touch too attentive-they all seemed to take it in turns to ask us if we were ok for everything-on several occasions! It was a bit much to be honest. The waitress assigned to our table was nice and efficient &... More
