Bumped into this lovely restaurant & tried several dishes namely the Pandan Leaf Chicken, Thai green Curry & finished off with a coconut ice cream desert. Reminds me of home cooked food whilst away from Asia for a length of time. A great choice for the most discerning of travel foodies... Will definitely come back for more next time.

Went there during the bank holiday weekend. Order the Thai fish with banana leaves and a red Thai curry served with jasmine fragrant rice and coconut flavour rice. When the fish been served on our table one can tell this restaurant is special with their dishes the fish is grilled to perfection and wrap in banana leaves . When we... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel, but we would never have found it otherwise as it is out of the centre of town, although only 5/10 minutes walk away. It's quite a big restaurant with a separate take-away outlet to the side which is very busy. We were the only ones in the restaurant, however, so a... More

No Thai staff and no Thai chef. The restaurant should be called Tamarind Heavenly Malaysian. If I wanted Malaysian food I would have gone to a Malaysian restaurant. I came to a Thai restaurant but found everything Malaysian. The staff were pleasant but the manager was a little curt once she realised we were Thai. We were served warm tap... More

We decided to cheer ourselves up on a wet Tuesday in Tralee and weren't disappointed. The early bird menu is great value with three courses for just €16.90 per person. Excellent service and huge portions of tasty and authentic Thai food.

Visited tamarind on first night of our visit to Tralee. Very disappointed as we were expecting Thai food and got the usual stuff they serve in Chinese restaurants throughout Ireland. Not one Thai person in sight. Staff were very pleasant but the restaurant had no ambiance, probably because it was empty. Food was quite expensicve also. Would not recommend tamarind.

We were driving around the ring of Kerry last Sunday and found this restaurant. The menu is more a mix/fusion then just Thai. The five of us went for the early bird with starter, mains with side dish and dessert with complimentary coffee on the house. Portions were very generous at just £10 per person. Food took a little time... More

A few months ago, I enjoyed a starters and duck course from the extensive menu at this venue. Angelique and her staff provide great food and service with a smile
