We visited Gaby's last Saturday night for a friend's birthday. I was really looking forward to it as I had heard so much about the food and service but have to say on this occasion we were unfortunately disappointed. I will start by saying the food really was delicious. As it specializes in fish, I ordered Halibut and it was... More

I recently dined at Gaby's Restaurant for a family celebration and to say that it was excellent is an understatement. From the welcome at the door to the coat being put on your back when departing everything was 10 out of 10. A true Family run operation that has been going from strength to strength. There are many places to... More

We had dinner in Gaby's twice during our visit to Killarney. The first occasion was an unqualified success - the John Dory was particularly special. We had an excellent bottle of Chatelain Desjacques Sancerre 2014 but overpriced at €43.50. Our second visit was a mixed experience. There was no John Dory or prawns, but the halibut was excellent - albeit... More

We ate dinner here twice, once the two of us and another night with a German couple we met. Both dinners were very good. Nice appetizers and salads and both the seafood and steaks we had there were very good. Most entrees in the $20-25 price range. Make reservations if you plan to go on weekend nights, as the good... I ate the "black sole" (known to the English as a 'Dover sole') meuniere which was served, as I requested, off the bone. They offer two sizes - 'regular' and 'large'. I ordered the large size and struggled to finish it. What can I say? Fresh, succulent, deliciously flavoured and perfectly prepared. I have eaten here several times previously and... More

Good seafood and service and atmosphere. but bring a lot of money. For a special night out. Servers were well trained. Only complaint was a table of very very loud people drowning out conversation. Tables are only couple of feet apart. No privacy.

The crab claws have an amazing sauce which you would get up in the middle of the night to have. The prawns with tagliatelle are also amazing as are the scallops. Really good food with great service by Noel and the rest of the team. We always pop in when we're in Killarney

I would consider this just an average, to slightly above average restaurant. I really debated between 3 and 4 stars, as our steaks were just average, the seafood bisque was as bland as I have ever had, and the service was not very attentive. That said, the other couple that dined with us loved their seafood entree, and lamb chops,... More

We arrived at 6 pm w/o reservations and were seated within a few minutes. Everything one on the staff was awesome. We loved the food - Grilled Salmon, and the music. The Devore of the restaurant is very cozy. So glad we got in to try Gaby's before we left Killarney.

Service was exemplary from the moment I went in to the point of leaving, warm and informative and timed to perfection. Food lived up to the service, tempura prawns and John Dory were superb. Some of the best wine served by the glass to be found anywhere. Not cheap but worth every Euro.
