Description
The 1870's were eventful years. Queen Victoria became Empress of India, the telephone was invented and J.M. Reidys was built on Main Street, Killarney. One of Killarney's most photographed buildings, J M Reidys re-opened under new management in 2017 following an extensive restoration and refurbishment project. The building is home to the iconic "sweetshop Pub" which has been fully restored, a Cafe offering speciality coffee & homemade pastries baked in-house in Mrs Reidys kitchen, brunch & bites daily from 12 - 6, Specialised Cocktail & Gin bars and a unique courtyard area providing live music nightly. The building offers character and charm with the restoration of the cozy snug areas and unique features such as the original bakery walls, cobble floors, old tills, weighing scales and original photos, ledgers and memorabilia on display.
