We stopped here after travelling the Gap of Dunloe, and were just going to have a cuppa tea. We asked about any small snack as it was about 10:30am and were told the scones were just finished. Heavenly..I can still taste them!!

Ambiance formidable, repas soigné, chouette musique d'un trio typiquement irlandais. But one very negative note: the price of some drinks is a real ripoff!!! I ordered a double shot of Conemara: 78€!!! Can you believe it? When I dared utter my astonishement I got a comment like "take it or leave it"!

A warm welcome - lovely food and great service- just the ticket after the Gap of Dunloe jaunting car trip!

Traditional irish food and drinks, lovely baileys hot chocolate but very strong irish coffee. Not a great choice for my simple taste buds but beautiful chocolate lava cake dessert. Very touristy of course due to where it is situated but large enough to seat many people.

Stopped here with my Wife and parents. The service was quick and ample room for a wheelchair and disabled toilet. The soup of the day was vegetabla, which was nice, and the toastie included ample chips. Very nice indeed. Fourth visit and ways worth a revisit.

We walked up the valley for an hour, and then back down to Kate's. I had the nicest tasting lager I'd had for the whole holiday. Shame I can't remember the name, but it's local. The food was pretty standard pub grub. A bit variable. The chicken and duck were a bit dry, but the fish and lamb were enjoyed... More

Stopped in for a pint and late lunch after hiking in the Wicklowe Mountains. Along with the ever present tourists, there were two stag parties going on, so it was a very rowdy crowd. And fantastic! Good, hearty food and a nice selection of beer. Would definitely stop in again.

Situated a few miles out of Killarney in the Gap of Dunloe, we had a group meal here. Kate was apparently a bootlegger and this pub provides plenty of liquid sustenance. We ate a group meal that was very tasty, served by hardworking and friendly servers. The band was simply terrific that night and explained some of the more esoteric... More

Would not bother going especially to see it - only if you are going to see Gap of Dunloe anyway. Very smelly of horse poo all around!

Hadn't been here in years, but called in after a walk though the Gap. Sure it could be called 'Oirish/touristy' but what else would you expect from Kate Kearneys. I must say I didn't find it as bad as many other places around the country especially the new 'Oirish' places that have popped up around the place. It seems more... More
