Best fish & chips we've found. Always busy so there may be a short wait. But that's a sign of great food! Fast easy & laid back.

Lovely atmosphere, delicious meal and the staff were so considerate even when I made awkward requests (I'm lactose intolerant and they made a dessert specially for me!)

Home of the spectacular smoked fish in batter and chips. I have yet to find a fish & chip shop in the West of Ireland that compares. I also cannot understand why fish and chip shops in England don't serve smoked fish, seriously it rocks!!

One of my favourite places in Galway. I like the price, the options, food is good, service is not that good and I like the venue atmosphere, feels like past.

Also, the take out, fast food section was doing a brisk business. However, I just did not get it. My dinner, which was grilled... More

Went for a dinner - got whiting with side of smashed peas, onion rings & chips. Only thing worth buying again was the fish! One of the freshest tasting fried fish pieces I have had! Everything else was average. But go for the fish alone it's worth it

The Family knowledge of Fish and dedication to their customers
has earned them the reputation of being one of Ireland's
best Seafood's Houses.

Mc Donagh's is divided into two sections:

In the Seafood Restaurant you will find a great variety of fish dishes on our menu.
From native Clarenbridge Oysters, Salmon, Crab, Scallops,Prawns, Hake, Lemon Sole, Plaice, Haddock, Wild Mussels and Ray.
Smoked Salmon from Connemara and whatever else the Fisherman

Our Fish & Chips can be eaten on the premises or taken away,
we also have outside seating during the summer months.
