Ate dinner here last week and it did not disappoint. The food was very tasty. I had the breaded scampi and salad which was full of flavour. My partner had the fresh fish which he really enjoyed. They also have a good range of local craft beers to try. Would definitely eat here again!

Stayed for the night and ate here before always excellent food, had the fish stew which was a special on the night my god it looked like a small serving in the bowl but I was pleasantly surprised it was more than enough, left room for dessert of a few pints great job. On the room very tidy nice bathroom... More

Visited here yesterday evening, ordered the scampi. It was lukewarm and the chips were soggy and the salad was swimming in dressing. Even the bottle of wine wasn't chilled. Very disappointing, definitely won't be back.

We popped in here for dinner after work during the week. It was very busy for a mid-week evening but it was a good sign. We ate in a part of the restaurant close to the bar - a booth style seat. This part of the restaurant is dimly lit and has a relaxing feel to it. We all enjoyed... More

Ate here recently with our young children, got seated immediately. Had a thoroughly enjoyable meal and experience. Friendly and efficient staff and service. Food was excellent, I had the scampi and chips, my other half had the fish cakes which are definitely to be highly recommended. Children's meals were lovely and fresh. Desserts were also lovely. Overall a great visit,... More

The food was average but the service.. the worst service I've ever seen in my entire life. Highlights had to include the waitress who we asked for a dessert menu, she said sure one moment please and then proceeded to walk out the door past us as her shift was over! Needless to say we didn't get the dessert and... More

Myself and my finance went to the huntsman for dinner one of the evenings we were staying in Galway and I can honestly say it was the nicest battered cod and chips I have ever eaten! The batter was light and crispy and the cod was so fresh and cooked to perfection

We dined in the restaurant on 17th Dec- the meal was not of the standard that we had previously encountered. A reheated meal and vegetables not up to standard. We dined again on the 29th of Dec. the steak was greasy and average , the chips were soggy and greasy! So very very disappointed on both occasions. Have you changed... More

An hour and a half wait for dinner when we were told twice it would be ready in 5 mins. Couple walk in and were served before us without a reservation. Very bad service order a Bailey's coffee and was told they had no spoons or saucers and was made carry the boiling hot glass to table which burnt my... More
