We had an early dinner here at 5pm with young children. The large seating area upstairs was empty and we were served really quickly by polite staff. The food was nice, with plenty of choice and vegetarian options. My family enjoyed the desserts, especially the cheesecake. The downstairs bar seemed cosy with an open fire. I would come back when... Check out the upstairs for restaurant seating. There a lot of nooks to sit in, and service is excellent. There is also a bar upstairs so you don't have to go back down to get more of the black stuff. Fish and Chips is alright, but as you'd expect from pub food. Dessert was great! Will definitely come back with... More

Great pub, cozy atmosphere and excellent bar service. Went there our last night in Galway, just wished we had found it earlier.

It's tough to pick a pub in this section of Galway because there's so many to choose from, but this one off the main path was a good choice! The atmosphere was good, and there are displays of over 100 different types of whiskey all over the place. I had a bacon burger there, and it was better than I... More

I used this bar for 4 and half years while I lived in Galway and I have to say without doubt that it is the best place in Galway for wherever type of mood you're in. If you want a lively Saturday night go here, if you want to watch a game get yourself to the bar, if you're in... More

We had food here on Friday evening and it was lovely. We shared fishcakes to start and then had bacon and cabbage and bangers and mash. It was typical pub grub but very tasty and reasonably priced. There were plenty of staff and they were very helpful. After dinner a DJ came on so we had a couple of drinks... More

Went for Sunday Dinner about 4 in the evening. Perfect setting upstairs as it wasn't too busy. The menu of the day was excellent but went for the Irish Beef Stew as I had it before. Tasty as always and portion size was spot on. Others in my group had catch of the day and the pasta - both which... More
