Had a nice family dinner on the first night of our stay in Galway. Arrived close to the time the kitchen was closing but we weren't rushed. The food was very good. The waitress and bartender serving our table were friendly and most helpful. A "can't go wrong" spot for dinner and/or a pint.

The Dáil bar is a fine pub in Galway that is well located close to the Latin quarter which is a vibrant place to have a night out. The decor of the pub is steeped in Irish culture from sport, to music to remnants of Irish independence. If you are a tourist looking for a pub that isn't dingy but... More

We visited The Dail Bar last Monday evening, we both had steak ( ribeye and striploin) which were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The pub is spotlessly clean and really cosy with open fires, all staff were friendly and service was excellent. There was 2 guys singing and playing guitars and they were brilliant. We will definitely return when in... More

Favourite pub in Galway . Great food and all ways great service. Has a lot of sport on so ideal for those of us who like food , beer, and sport. But it's also a great place to meet people. Well worth a visit.

Checked trip adviser as we walked around galway city and this bar had great reviews for food so we said we would try it and it lived up to it. Beautiful cosy warm bar with lovely friendly staff to wait on us. The food was served fast and was lovely and tasty. Guinness was lovely also :) Will definitely visit... More

We attempted dinner at Sonny Malloy's, but they were packed! The hostess directed us to the Dail, just down the street and around the corner. The atmosphere was great as was the entrees served. We were so impressed with the Dail, we had to go back to Malloys the next day to have lunch!

We stopped here for dinner during Christmas week and it was nice service and average food. No one had a memorable meal.it was loud due to Christmas visitors.

Dear airedaleluva, Thank you for dining in the bar and complementing our service. As you can see from previous reviews we usually receive such positive feedback for our menu so we are disappointed to hear the food described as average. We'd love to know what you chose to eat. The bars were very busy over the Christmas so it might... More

I visited the Dail twice over the Christmas period-first for drinks with family one evening and secondly for lunch on New Years Day. Both times, it was perfect. The lunch menu is comprehensive and there are vegetarian options. The service was very friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is cosy and relaxed. Would highly recommend the bar for a night...
