We chose the venue casually on a recent Sunday and called ahead to see if they had a spare table. They did, but only just. The restaurant was very busy. On arrival we were shown to a nice table for two, nicely laid with good linen (including linen napkins) and were offered filtered water and some very fine breads to... More

Bistro One now offers a sumptuous Sunday Lunch - always based on top quality fresh ingredients, the very best culinary skills and delicious dishes. The slow cooked shoulder of lamb is special and I have a brother-in-law who swears that he has never tasted a ham dinner as good. Customer service is delivered by the entire staff under the leadership... More

I enjoyed another excellent meal with friends in Bistro One, that little gem in Foxrock village, which never fails to produce the most delicious food at affordable prices. We chose from the menu €29 for 3 courses and it was superb. A short menu which can be a blessing, offering perfect choice - my starter of endive with blue cheese,... More

Bistro One never fails to deliver on taste, style and service. The staff are friendly, efficient and very attentive. Their menu has something to suit every one. Really good wine selection. It's a little small but it's cute I like it. Highly recommend

Had lunch here on a Friday recently and was surprised by how cold the restaurant was and the lack of people there - probably only 6/8 people in total for lunch. However, the food was absolutely delicious and of great quality.

We ate here on friday night. Having heard nothing but good things, Bistro One did not disappoint. We started with some wine so chose a bottle of Albariño from their extensive wine list. I had the fillet steak which was beautifully tender and perfectly cooked. The only thing that exceeded the great food was the excellent service, all of our... More

Hopefully someday everything will come together between Bistro One & myself. There's no doubting the food & service & presentation are excellent but being a serial "beancounter" I just can't stop myself from performing cost comparisons & when prices, in my humble opinion, are approximately +25% (with an added 10% service charge on top) higher than comparable restaurants then, perhaps... Mark and his staff excelled with our party of 12 this evening! The food was amazing - the staff were great as usual and even though we arrived later than the 5pm cut off for Sunday Lunch they looked after us so well! A regular haunt for many around our table but the menu always excites and delights! 10/10 again!

Locally sourced food and organic where possible. The chef is amazing. Service is superb and they have a great wine selection.
