We went here on our last night in Ireland and I was really impressed with the show and the entertainers. They were wonderful. Im not a big fan of touristy places. I'll see the sites but I try to avoid cheesy shows, or restaurants just for tourist that you wouldn't see locals. This place was wonderful, the entertainers seems to... More

We were a family group of 3 that had a lovely lunch in the Merry Ploughboy today. We booked a table, which is adviseable; particularly on a Sunday - the place was buzzing. Despite being busy the staff still found time to be friendly and courteous - nothing was too much trouble, and were happy to make recommendations if asked.... More

I ordered the ribs which was delicious and garlic bread with cheese (little bit too much cheese). Everything was gorgeous, atmosphere buzzing and wait staff really friendly and quick. It was crazy busy but we had a lovely Mother's Day meal.

Came here recently after a trip around the Wicklow mountains. I just loved the atmosphere and quirkiness of this place. The menu has something for everyone and the food is just great, especially the wings!! My only downfall is that the staff here aren't very attentive or friendly. However I would most certainly come back.

We were a bit late compared to the group of 60 Americans, so the waitresses had to serve us promptly in order for the show to be able to start as scheduled. The food was ok, the lam was overcooked, the able pie dessert was the best. The Merry Ploughboy band was fun, but the River Dancers were more impressive.... More

I've been thrown out of a fair few pubs in my time but having never been thrown out of this one really says something for the staff and level of hospitality!! On a recent family night out ( which are far and few between) we got absolutely smashed and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. That aside the pints... More

We stopped here for a starter a few months ago (I had chicken liver pate) and it was lovely, so we recently returned for dinner. I went with a beef burger while my partner went for lamb. The burger was disappointing, with the only flavour actually coming from the rasher on top. The coleslaw that was served with it was... More
