I went in last night for dinner with a friend. We ordered a starters selection to try different things and everything was delicious. As main course we had venison and a prawn dish, both very good!the service was also of a high standard, really nice people! Very welcoming!we ll be there again

No other way to describe the experience. I went with three others who dine frequently here, they knew the menu and offered suggestions. The food was incredible, my first time trying Nepalese food, I'm hooked! One thing that surprised me was the comprehensive wine list! Overall at perfect "10". Great food, wine, service and atmosphere. Add to your "must try... More

Stumbled upon Monty's of Kathmandu and found a real gem. Around the corner from Temple Bar and on a quieter street sits this cute Nepalese restaurant. The wait staff was very pleasant and the food delicious. We had the mungling dhal bhat which was an assortment of tareko sabji, chicken sekuwa, lamb ledo bedo, mis mas vegetable tarkari, rice, roti... More

late Monday in Temple Bar, Dublin, after a show, i was hungry but not up to the robust Irish cuisine that i had enjoyed all weekend at at breakfasts, Some of the specialised restaurants were already closed, but this one in the small street between the Temple barr and Dame Streetwas yet open and they let me in to be... Searching for somewhere to have dinner in a very busy city, my husband and I found ourselves outside Monty's. Deciding the menu looked good we went inside to see if we could get a table. The restaurant was very busy, but a table was found for us. Service was good, food was excellent, and the atmosphere was something special. Not... More

Regardless of the type of food you enjoy there is always something on the menu to please. The array of food is simply delicious, a comprehensive selection of wonderful wines, the service friendly and attentive and a perfect ambience, not to mention the central location just off Dame Street. Where else would you go when in Dublin.

My wife and I were in Nepal during the first two weeks of June this year. We spotted this restaurant whilst walking around Dublin and decided to return and have our evening meal here. Whilst in Nepal we stopped off in a place called Mungling whilst we were on route from Bhaktapur to the Chitwan National Park. We had some... More

Have just had a wonderful evening at Monty's, celebrating my husband's birthday. Everything was perfect. From the complimentary glass of bubbles, on arrival, through to the desert with candle. The food, in between, was divine. Definitely worth travelling from London, just for a birthday dinner. We will definitely be back, but in the meantime I have purchased Lina's cookbook, so... More

We've been to this restaurant more than any other in Dublin and it is consistently great. The staff are welcoming and attentive, the food is delicious and the ambience is perfect. In particular, the momos and the sashlick are superb. I intend to keep coming back here for more delicious meals.

Description
Montys of Kathmandu, a multi-award winning Nepalese Restaurant in the heart of Dublin's Cultural quarter and now more recently, in the leafy suburbs of Rathgar. Montys is the first Nepalese Restaurant ever to open in Ireland specialising in the beautiful food from the Himalayan Kingdom. We make everything inhouse and do nor use any artificial additives to enhance the flavours of our food. All our chefs are natives of Nepal and it is owned by Nepalis too. We pride ourselves on giving you the customers the authentic experience, with out taking any short cuts. We source all our ingredients, where possibly locally and use the best possible available to us.
