We've been to this restaurant more than any other in Dublin and it is consistently great. The staff are welcoming and attentive, the food is delicious and the ambience is perfect. In particular, the momos and the sashlick are superb. I intend to keep coming back here for more delicious meals.

This restaurant is a stone's throw from Temple Bar. The staff are friendly and attentive. We ordered a set meal which iwas described as a selection of dishes favoured by locals in Nepal and it really was a lovely mix of tasty, spicy dishes. Booking is recommended. We would definitely go back if we return to Dublin.

I love this place. The first time I went was four years ago and I have been back a lot since. The food is some of the tastiest in Dublin. I recommend going without food for hours before arriving so you can to have three courses and fit as much of this deliciousness in as possible. Everything is really filling... More

Started going to Monty's in early 2000's and have always, always had a very good experience. Food is just succulently delicious (Curries to die for), host Shiva is unerringly hospitable and charming, ambience is good, and the location perfect. Love this place and would recommend it to anyone.

Went for dinner with friends and was very impressed. Food was delicious, very well spiced and quality ingredients. Possibly the best Naan bread I have ever had (and I like my naan). Worked for dinner with pals but could also do the business for a quiet night for two. Good selection on the menu and friendly staff - I'd go... More

Ate here based solely on TA reviews, we werent disappointed. Luckily we got there early as they were fully booked from 20.00 and needed our table back. Small cosy venue and very authentic, good friendly service and awesome curries. Cheers!

On business, in Dublin. Looked up the highest rated Indian in my vicinity, Montys was the choice. Reviews all pretty good and a high star rating, I was looking forward to it. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food does taste good, but that is it. The menu looks ok but on closer examination is really limited. I... More

Description
Montys of Kathmandu, a multi-award winning Nepalese Restaurant in the heart of Dublin's Cultural quarter and now more recently, in the leafy suburbs of Rathgar. Montys is the first Nepalese Restaurant ever to open in Ireland specialising in the beautiful food from the Himalayan Kingdom. We make everything inhouse and do nor use any artificial additives to enhance the flavours of our food. All our chefs are natives of Nepal and it is owned by Nepalis too. We pride ourselves on giving you the customers the authentic experience, with out taking any short cuts. We source all our ingredients, where possibly locally and use the best possible available to us.
