Went here for a business dinner and the food & service were excellent. I had the Ledo Beds (medium hot) for my main course - never had it before but what a great dish. So full of flavour and perfect heat for me. Had rice, dhal and layered bread to accompany it and all were also very good. Very good... More

This is a gem. Started with the freshly prepared dumplings followed by the delicious Chicken Chilli Nanglo & washed down by delicious Wakefield Shiraz. Stunning sides. Friendly attentive service. An evening to remember & savour.

Stumbled upon this place during a weekend in Dublin and have returned religiously every trip to Dublin since. Do not go here and order anything other than the Mungling Dhal Bhat - a mixture of traditional Nepalese dishes served in bronze dishes. Have had this every time I have been an always absolutely love it, so much so I have... More

I went to Dublin last year and we had a great meal, but I couldn't remember the name of the restaurant. We went back this weekend and managed to find it, Montys. The food was excellent again and the service was just as good.

We'd threatened to go here for ages, and finally got around to it. A cosy dining room, the menu was full of different and some unfamiliar options. I settled on a grilled squid starter, and a lean lamb with peppers onions and chilli main. It was so so tasty, with generous portions and very well priced. I sampled a few... More

We love this restaurant, the food is always really nice and so different to your normal "curry" type of place. When in Dublin we try to include a visit !!

Usually go across the road to Kathmandu kitchen but thought we'd try this place out. Exceeded expectations. Can honestly say it was the best naan I've ever had. Pashwaari naan was 10/10. Tear it and it bursts with the good stuff. Literally licked the plate clean. Don't get that in many places. Everything else was top drawer. Will be back

I've eaten at Monty's several times over the years and it's always a warm welcoming place to eat, relax and chat. The staff are always attentive and usually efficient but never pushy or complacent. The food on offer is a varied selection and more or less authentic. I'm sure you'll find a favourite but do explore as there are many... More

Description
Montys of Kathmandu, a multi-award winning Nepalese Restaurant in the heart of Dublin's Cultural quarter and now more recently, in the leafy suburbs of Rathgar. Montys is the first Nepalese Restaurant ever to open in Ireland specialising in the beautiful food from the Himalayan Kingdom. We make everything inhouse and do nor use any artificial additives to enhance the flavours of our food. All our chefs are natives of Nepal and it is owned by Nepalis too. We pride ourselves on giving you the customers the authentic experience, with out taking any short cuts. We source all our ingredients, where possibly locally and use the best possible available to us.
