It's a cozy, underground nook of a restaurant/wine bar that offers sanctuary on a rainy, wet night. My husband and I went here for dinner one night and found a friendly spot in the middle of Dublin. The biggest draw is the wine list. The staff knows wines and they offer suggestions in a friendly manner. The dinners we ate... More

It's a lovely place with a great selection of wines as you'd expect but good food too. On this occasion the food, a special of pan fried cod, was slightly overdone but I'll give them credit for previous visits. I know their food is normally better. Good service and reasonable prices.

Called in having just landed and booked into hotel. Walked past it initially as couldn't see the name outside, but once in, all good. Greeted warmly and shown to table. I had read about the family farm etc. but have to say, probably the best burger ever. It tasted fantastic and melted in the mouth. Chips also very moorish. Not... More

One of my favourite places to go in Dublin for lunch or dinner. Extensive wine list. Highly recommend, the venue, the wines and the food second to none.

Just 'up the street and around the corner' from the Shelbourne Renaissance, this intimate wine bar is a must-do when in Dublin. The quality of the food, combined with the passion of the owners, is reason enough to visit - plus, their wines by the glass are carefully chosen and affordable. Go, enjoy, and Slainte!

I had a great experience in the Ely place at the IFSC so I was looking forward to trying the wine bar. We had a warm welcome and were directed to the bar area as we were a large group of around 20. Great way to start a dinner! We had a fixed menu with a special menu for the... More

We had a wonderful meal. I am nervous about eating out due to gluten and dairy intolerance- no problem and my meal was fabulous. I also find crowds difficult with ambient noise and managed fine as there wasn't too much echo. Thank you for a lovely evening.

We found ely's in looking for good non-pubs in the downtown area. We went for their "early bird" special, which ran all night the night we went (Wednesday). It consisted of three courses for just under 30 euros. We asked for a suggestion for a mid-priced Pinot Noir and the waitress suggested a Sancerre Rouge that they had. I was... More

Fab food, great staff, brill wine selection - this hidden gem is a must. Situated in a hidden downstairs dining room or bar area, there is a great selection of modern Irish food, international wines and knowledgeable staff. enjoy.
