The Wooden Wisk restaurant was a very short 5 minutes from our stay at the Moxy. The vegetarian breakfast with asparagus, potatoes, tomatoes and more was served up hot and delicious, as was my fiancés plate of smashed avocado on toast. The orange juice was fresh squeezed, sweet and wonderful. Coffee was hot and tasty. I highly recommend The Wooden Wooden Wisk for brunch.

Review from an American perspective on vaca— Loved this!! We loved all our meals, each got something different, & even accommodated our american ways like ice in water & egg whites for an omelette. & the coffee was incredible!! (Although we asked for hot sauce for eggs & they were confused but we were fine without!) Trying to come back before we leave Dublin !

We went to the restaurant for breakfast on New Years Day. We ordered an Irish American Pancake and Avocado on Toast. The food was a disaster. The pancake was dense and the egg was over cooked on a dirty griddle so it became black. The avocado had to much cheese that you couldn’t taste the tartness of the avocado.

We went here for breakfast not knowing how terribly rude the staff are. We order two meals (as there were two of us) but three meals came out, when we said we didn’t order the extra meal we were told by the lady serving us that we were wrong and that we did, we assured her that we wouldn’t order three meals for two people, she continued to say that she even repeated the order which was untrue. Her manner and attitude is the worst we have ever encountered. We have never made a complaint about anywhere before, and will never return as just on holiday for two days but the way that the lady serving us chose to conduct herself was disgusting. The food was acceptable but cold on arrival and other things were missing from our order. I had to be assertive with the lady otherwise she was going to start an argument. She sighed, tutted, argued and was absolutely down right vile. I can’t believe another persons would treat anyone let alone a customer in this manner in 2023 over a late of food. The only thing that makes us feel a little better about making this complaint is that other people have obviously had the same experience as us and unfortunately it’s not going to stop unless people make it known. We didn’t get an offer of any money back and my partner just wanted to leave.

The pictures outside show an Irish breakfast with artisanal toast and two of everything, it looks good. I ordered the full beast and got one sausage, one slice of bacon and a slice of white sliced cheap bread. My husbands BLT was depressing and depressed. The coffee was excellent. The staff don’t seem to love the place or what they do. All the problems are a quick fix really. It was a bit of a shame because we’re in Dublin for two days and everything else has been wonderful.

The most disgusting food I’ve ever ate in my life. The minute I tasted it I felt sick, it was slapped together on a plate and the eggs were raw. The staff were unbelievably rude and very unhygienic. No one was wearing gloves or hair nets preparing the food. Would never step foot in this place again

My scone is stale. Service is always painfully slow. The manager is usually the one who cooks the food and she tries to manage as well. It doesn’t work. She gets REALLY stressed and angry Which isn’t pleasant for the customers. They do a good eggs Benedict which my son really likes. That’s the only reason I come back. To wait 15 minutes for a pot of tea when it isn’t busy is bizarre. I’ve been coming for about 4 years and I’ve seen no change. Great location though

“Full Irish Breakfast”, I’ve had these all over. Ireland (and elsewhere) but never had one like this. One small sausage one small piece of black pud abd one small piece of white pud all came out of a re-cooked metal container and seemed a though they’d been warmed up multiple times they were SO tough. The two fried eggs looked like a child’s first attempt gone wrong and the beans came in a small croc pot that looked like bean juice gone wrong colour… had to fish a few beans out if the bottom which were tough and Luke warm. I was famished when I came in here and I’m one of those types that would clear the plate every time. In hindsite I should’ve just sent it straight back but in all honesty I’ve now completely lost my appetite! Don’t know what nationality these people are but if you do have the misfortune to land in here void the “Irish” as they really don’t have a clue 👎

Came here for breakfast and first place in Dublin with properly poached eggs and fresh avocado on toast. Other people had full Irish breakfast and looked great. Glad we found this gem. Their other pastry items looked great, but too full to try.

Myself & my husband where the last customers served tonight for a take away but the gent who served us made us feel as welcome as his first customers, he was an absolute gentleman. We got a chicken Tikka wrap and a Raspberry Roulade. They where absolutely gorgeous, fresh ingredients and super tasty.100% Recommend!

Visited this cafe with my husband yesterday on our way to the bus station after a weekend in Dublin. This place has the most amazing cakes and pastries. I had a Banofee pie and my husband had the blackcurrant cheesecake. Coffee was great. Both were delicious. Would highly recommend this lovely little cafe.

We were looking for breakfast close to the train station and this cafe was perfect. The food was delicious (we had french toast and huevos rancheros). Coffee was lovely. The cafe itself was clean and has a cute aesthetic. The staff were wonderful especially the man on the till. Service was excellent fast and well presented despite how busy it was. Price was very reasonable. Highly recommend

We had a really great brunch here. I had the full Irish breakfast, and was entirely defeated by it; the portions here are not small! The staff were really friendly, and the atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming. Would definitely recommend as a nice little stop.

The Wooden Wisk is a small cafe a short walk from our hotel. The service was fast and friendly. We ordered the vegetarian breakfast and the smashed avocado which was excellent. We would come back to try other things on the menu.
