We were a starving family of 4 (2 teenagers) and although it was hard to find, it was worth running In the rain for it! Warm and friendly waitress, terrific food and a fun atmosphere. Lots of locals, which is what we wanted. Thrilled to have gone

First goal upon entering Ireland was to find an Irish pub for some Fish and Chips and a pint of Guiness. the Stag's Head did not disappoint; just what the doctor ordered. perfect on all accounts. The fish and chips were the best we had the whole trip, the Guiness . . well what can you say, the waitress was... More

The fish and chips were very good. A fellow geocacher recommended the toasted sandwiches, too. Food was reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Really nice interior with old wood paneling and stained glass windows. Not a touristy spot, so it was fairly quiet around 2 p.m. We liked that about it. This pub was one of the stops in the virtual geocache... More

We didn't eat here, but stopped in for a drink. The atmosphere was pretty cool; but the staff was fairly aloof. Come to see it - stay for a drink - but only one, then move on to somewhere a bit more lively!

Got nice food in this place at a good price. Wife was happy which means happy life for me. Good pints and finished the night across the road in a lovely boozer called the Dame Tavern. Brilliant fun.

My wife and I visited Stags Head Pub and immediately connected with its relaxed atmosphere . It is a beautiful pub with wood panelling , stained glass windows and a stags head over the bar. It was full of people conversing - a buzz in the air. Service was friendly and quick. Great Guinness and whisky!

Staff is prompt and knowledgable. Has quite a few whiskeys available and more beers available than many places in Ireland.
