How sad to see Shanahans go so down hill. It used to b such a good spot for a steak-alas! It is no longer worth visiting. Very poor service from them from the manager down-he was quite a rude manager in fact; the place is now very overpriced; food is good, but it's the surrounding service that drags the meal... More

I heard this place was the best in Dublin and I actually think it's true Came with a group of people and had a drink in the Oval Office bar downstairs where the Barman was excellent After our drink we had a very nice table and had the best service by Cormac The food was absolutely amazing!!! Everyone was in... More

Start to finish the food was amazing as usual in shanahans. The portion sizes are generous. The steaks are cooked to perfection. It's a little snobby if going with a group, I'd prefer just to go as a family or couple. The bar and cocktails are amazing, great start/end to a meal.

I've been to Shanahan's a number of times and for what it does, it is fine. It is an Irish version of an upscale US Chop House. Its great if you are on a company expenses account, like great steaks and big expensive reds. We had Friday lunch on this occasion and while all was fine, it was nothing to... More

Excellent value if the early bird suits you, otherwise be prepared to dine expensively! Well worth the price though as the food is exquisite!

Went here on recommendation to taste the big 24oz steaks which didn't disappoint. We had the 24oz rib eye on the bone steaks which were cooked to perfection and decided to skip starters due to the size of the side dishes. Great staff, nice surroundings and good service but expect to pay to pay £70+ a head which is a... More

There is only one place you should go for a steak in Dublin and this is it. We have been there several times and it never disappoints. We never have starters or desserts just 2 steaks, whipped potatoes with chives and butter and a half portion of crispy fried onion strings a decent Brunello and that's it. I can put... More

I left feeling like I should have been rolled out. The wine list is extensive but personally it lacks some niche offerings at better prices that you might see in places like Chapter One. The salmon trio starter was OK. It was simply smoked salmon on a pancake. The bread they serve is outstanding so it's a balance. The steak... More

One of our favourite restaurants, great staff and amazing food. Derek makes the best Bloody Mary in town and the steaks are something else. Nice for a special occasion or just to grab a steak and a bottle of wine in the bar downstairs.

Brought my wife here for her significant birthday. I booked a table for the pre-theatre menu. We had a drink in the Oval Office Bar downstairs before dinner. The dining room (first floor) itself is nice, but not spectacular. We had a nice table in the window. Waitor was friendly and knowledgeable. We were served bread when we sat down.... More

American Style Steakhouse and Seafood Restaurant featuring Certified Irish Angus beef and the freshest seafood and produce from Ireland's local bounty.

Shanahan's ethos is simple and sophisticated. Your experience begins upon arrival. Enjoy an aperitif in the Oval Office bar. Take a moment to inspect the impressive collection of memorabilia adorning the walls. Each item commemorates the U.S. Presidents with an Irish connection or ancestry. Marvel at the bar's centrepiece, JFK's rocking chair from Air Force One.

Dining in Shanahan's is a delight. The elegance of the food and service, is maintained in perfect harmony with the warmth, which personifies the Shanahan's team.
