We visited as a large group of friends and were well looked after. We started with drinks in the downstairs bar and then upstairs for dinner. Good food, good service and good company, what more can you ask for! A wonderful treat .

We stayed in Dublin for one night on our vacation and heard this was a must. Our concierge made reservations and we enjoyed a nice walk to the restaurant. Our service and dinner was great. The wine we had was perfect. Wish we lived closer!

8 of us dined there recently to celebrate a son's Graduation. The boys love steak so Shanahans was the obvious choice. We enjoyed a fabulous meal in a beautiful dining room overlooking St. Stephens Green. Starters comprised mostly soups and salads and the boys 'horsed' on the delicious bread. Steaks were cooked to perfection and accompanying sides were delicious (onion... More

We were planning on taking very good friends of ours out for a birthday treat and wanted to make sure this restaurant was everything we expected so we decided to try it out in advance given that we were travelling from Waterford to eat here. When we arrived we were offered the option of drinks downstairs in the bar which... More

Went here for a birthday threat. Service was disappointing. It's an expensive restaurant so you expect good service. Our main meal was out before table was cleared, water wasn't topped up, table wasn't cleaned until a different waiter, not ours, noticed the crumby table, we were never asked was the meal ok. We have been here a few times but... More

I had high expectations for Shanahan’s being a Steak Connoisseur who has been fortunate enough to visit some of the best: Mortons, Smith and Wollensky, Ruth Chris’s and the incomparable Peter Luger Steakhouse in New York. I mention these as Shanahans seems to model themselves on these “names” in the steak world. My rule is simple: Steak (preferably T Bone... More

Possibly the best steak I've ever tasted and huge portions. Service was on point including a free glass of bubbly to celebrate an anniversary. A lovely restaurant, with excellent food and service.

People review on here that this place is pricey and yes, it is, however, you pay for what you get! Our waiter, Derek was fabulous! Knowledgeable, polite and gave fantastic recommendations! Portions are huge!! Take your time in this restaurant, take the time to talk to your waiter about what they recommend. Heed their advice! Wine was gorgeous, steak perfectly... More

Irish portions are very, very generous! Too much food for normal US standards. Husband and I started sharing a meal after the second day in Ireland. Restaurant is very nice and staff is very attentive.

We dined in Shanahans for a special family occasion. A party of four and three generations. The decor here is second to none - beautiful rich colour scheme and tables which are very generously spaced much to our delight. Not one starter was ordered, as we ate so much of the wonderful fresh warm bread that we figured we would... More

American Style Steakhouse and Seafood Restaurant featuring Certified Irish Angus beef and the freshest seafood and produce from Ireland's local bounty.

Shanahan's ethos is simple and sophisticated. Your experience begins upon arrival. Enjoy an aperitif in the Oval Office bar. Take a moment to inspect the impressive collection of memorabilia adorning the walls. Each item commemorates the U.S. Presidents with an Irish connection or ancestry. Marvel at the bar's centrepiece, JFK's rocking chair from Air Force One.

Dining in Shanahan's is a delight. The elegance of the food and service, is maintained in perfect harmony with the warmth, which personifies the Shanahan's team.
