On entering Ryan's Pub after a busy Friday work day the amazing atmosphere, old world interior so well preserved, friendly staff, best pub food I've have ever eaten in Dublin I left 2 hours later very content. Then to find I had left my phone on the table which was handed in by a customer (proves such lovely people frequent... More

Great cozy place to have a delicious steak dinner! You need to make reservations or go early as its a small place. The service and entire meal was excellent.

A drink in one of Dublins remaining authentic old pubs and we went upstairs to restaurant, food worth the lengthy wait, staff friendly, but acoustics terrible, not a place for easy conversation.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Ryan's! The friendly and inviting staff and guests made it all the more pleasant. Shared the brisket as the portion was huge and it was delicious!!! We are planning on going back for the steakhouse upstairs before we head back home later this week. Had such a wonderful experience!

This review is only about the restaurant - the bar downstairs (Ryans) is a gem with wonderful bar staff. I had been to this restaurant before and found it to be fine. However my visit last week has put me off ever returning. The woman serving us has obviously never heard of the phrase "the customer is always right" and... More

Great food except the sirloin steak at €42 without any vegetables very expensive. Food service was good too. I came here for lunch with my 16 year old son. What gave this place a bad review were the toilets. The mens toilet was absolutely disgusting with the seat of the toilet covered in faeces. Absolutely rotten and inexcusable. I spoke... More

Went to FX at Ryans in early November and food has slipped in quality sadly. Found it greasy and pastry undercooked almost to the point of raw in the centre. Steaks are always good but chips were pale and greasy. Desserts very nice. Overall not a great feel leaving particularly as the staff were disorganised and unfriendly. Could do with... More

Visited here again after last year's great Sunday roast meal and wasn't disappointed. The devil's kidneys for starter were superb and the sirloin steak main dish was cooked to perfection, and that mash with spring onion tasted amazing. And yes, we will be back on Sunday for the roast dinner!

Had an excellent meal here and arrived at the right time to bag the Early Bird two courses for €20 menu, although I did pay a small (worthwhile) supplement for my sirloin steak. Caesar salad to start was very tasty and not a huge bowlful of over-dressed leaves like some places. The huge, thin croutons were a bonus. The sirloin... More

Ryan’s of Parkgate Street has been a landmark Victorian public house in Dublin since 1886 located at the front gate of the Phoenix Park. It has had many famous patrons thorughout it's years including George W. Bush Junior and Senior who both drank here together and also John F. Kennedy. Ryan's was bought by F.X.BUCKLEY Restaurants in 2006 and since then has been serving fabulous FXB quality food, not only do we serve our famous steaks but a full Gastro Bar menu which recommends the best beer for each dish.
