Great night out, great atmosphere, lovely locals inside and bar staff were great at making us feel welcome and straight away let us know about a band playing upstairs later. We managed to get some seats before it got busy and it was a great night. Great live band playing (13th Feb) and one of the best nights we had... More

Possibly one of my favourite bars in Dublin that I have visited so far. If you want a change from a pint of Guinness but you're into your craft beer, you could easily lose hours in here in an afternoon working your way through the extensive drinks menu. Ideal for both afternoon and evening, however I like it for daytime... More

I love the Porterhouse. Great craft beer. One staff member was quite rude to anyone who asked for Guinness! I know you have your own fantastic stouts but I'm from Dublin.Tourists who come in to the Porterhouse for the first time wouldn't know this, so I don't' think there is any call to be so rude. I felt embarrassed and... More

Firstly, thank you for writing your review in such a positive way, even though you didn't enjoy your last experience with us, and understandably so. Most tourists coming in dont know straight away they are in a brew pub, they have simply found a nice bar and stumbled in for a pint! Being in Ireland, of course they will ask... More

Went there after dinner and had a lot of fun, traditional Irish live music and lots of great brews of beer. Only down is the place was completely full and couldn't get a table or even a place to put our costs down during the night. Still great place, will be back!

A few friends and I went to Porterhouse for drinks like every other tourist in Dublin, and overall, despite everyone here basically being a tourist, it was enjoyable and the bar is huge. This is basically a four level bar, so even when the bar is packed with people, there is a lot of space. Since my group was relatively... More

Must be the only place in Dublin not to serve Guinness, but don't let that distract you. A great selection of beers on tap and great staff. We visited on a Friday afternoon and a live band were discretely sitting at a table playing a way. A quickly place, with a great sense of humour.

Stumbled upon this place unexpectedly and found it to be a real gem. The bar staff were funny and we received great service. On Saturday night they had an Irish folk band which was exactly what we were looking for and the place was very lively. I would certainly recommend to anyone wanting some music and a pint to relax...
