Went there for dinner with partner and two friends . Staff as usual very friendly and helpful live piona player in background . Most of us just love the good here so we knew what we wanted before we got the menus two friends had the scampi to start with while we had the stuffed mushrooms served with a tomato... More

It's been a while since I've been to Nico's. After every visit, I think I should go back more often - but the fact is that it is a little out of my way! Thinking about where to eat, I decided to walk from Stephen's Green to Nico's. Because the windows are translucent, it's difficult to be certain that it's... More

Nico's is on Dame St, surrounded by fast food places and bars. We were pleased to see white tablecloths, and to hear a very low noise level. Service was correct and unobtrusive. My saltimbocca was very good, same for my companion's pasta dish. The restaurant's owner circulates to chat with regulars and to greet newcomers. When you want a change... More

Originally, we had planned on going to an Italian restaurant around the corner from this one, but when they turned us away when I didn't have a reservation, we found Nico's. I"M SO GLAD WE DID!!! We weren't dressed for a nice dinner. Jeans and sweaters, and I had 2 teenagers with me. Not exactly what you'd think they'd want... More

We stumbled across this restaurant and went in on the off chance that here was a free table. There was a bunch of Italian people dining which gave us instant confidence on the quality of the establishment. The food we found to be delicious - I had the smoked salmon (there was a lot of it) followed by the cannelloni.... More

Great spot, like something straight out of the Sopranos. Food is always delicious and great selection of desserts. Authentic Italian restaurant.

Nicos is one of my favourites restaurants in Dublin. It is consistently good, I suppose that's why it has been open so long. As previous contributors have said the waiting staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble. Our most recent visit here was last week with a group of lads out for the night. Everyone commented on how... More

This restaurant is a simple Italian serving quality food and wine. It is a Dublin institution going back over 50 years (I would guess). It is a part of the memory of many people as a place they went on special dates in their youth and many a marriage proposal was aired in it's environs. A large family group of... More
