Very underwhelming visit and dinner. A really old hat restaurant where staff waffled on but didn't produce the goods. Received a tail end of Turbot that didn't live up to the hype. Dessert trolley uncovered in a very tight floor space where guests had to...shuffle by. When I asked the waiter to give our guests desserts from the kitchen he told me he didn't have the power eh hello. Was not worth the cost plus 77 euro service charge what a joke. Needless to say I Will not be recommending or returning.More

We were a party of four. The waiters made sure each one of us was perfectly happy at each stage of the meal. The food was exceptional. Every course was perfect. I don't think I've had such a good meal at a seafood restaurant. I...will certainly be back !More

Attended the restaurant for a dinner with family, the food was excellent as was the staff. We knew it would be busy due to the six nations being on that day, however the staff handled themselves brilliantly despite at times being tested by some guests...who looked to put a sour note on the evening. The staff are a credit to the restaurant. We will certainly be back.More

10 of us dined here tonight for my sisters postponed 40th. Its her favorite restaurant in Dublin and anyone can see why. The oldschool charm that we came to love 20 years ago is still going strong. The food and service was excellent. Although we...chose to dine on a busy rugby day the staff were more that able to cope. A very special evening. Thank you to Gary and crew. We will be back.More

We had a wonderful meal all five of us. Fish beautifully cooked and delicious, plus the steak tartar. The dessert trolley had an amazing selection of desserts to temp us all. Staff very friendly and welcoming plus thank you for accommodating our table from 3...to 5. I would highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely return.More

With all the old hands on board in this current climate quite an achievement - nowhere else matches this place in Dublin for it’s supreme warmth of atmosphere and sublime seafood, you just don’t want to leave !

Although the food was not bad at the end of it we asked for the bill. An elderly waiter gave us a written bill which said 74,50 euro. We paid with a 100 euro note so expected 25 euro and 50 cent back. We already...prepared a tip for them with some loose change. We were very surprised to get only 20 euro back and 50 cent. It was left at our table and then the waiter who brought it to us disappeared. It took a while before they could help us again. The elderly waiter said then no it is 79,50 euro. It was his bad writing that we thought it was 74,50 euro. So we apologised for it because we REALLY saw 74,50 euro. Later on we sat down and went back through our mind to think what we had and how much it should have been. 2 x vegetables & potatoes at 4,50 each was 9 euro plus a roast Silverhill ducking of 29 euro and a steak fillet of Irish beef of 33 euro. We had only 1 big jug of water to drink. So if you count it all up this water costed us 9 euros. And that is even without our tip. PFFFFFF....... What a rip off....More
