There are several locations for Leo Burdock's; we visited the shop at 4 Crown Alley, Temple Bar. The fish was fresh and tasty, true cod. Generous serves of the fish and the chips. Well worth a visit; would have liked a bit of greens or veg on the menu. Informal restaurant, we placed our order on a Wednesday evening and... More

I had researched Leo Burdock's before we arrived in Dublin and was looking forward to trying their Fish & Chips. When we arrived, we found it to be much smaller than I had thought and there are no places to sit and eat. We chose to share 1 piece for a snack and it was sufficient for a meal! Very... More

Fish was greasy and soggy. Mayo was was absurdly expensive. While this is an institution, the signature dish of fish and chips just isn't done well.

Small caratteristic place, delicious fish and big portions of fries. Definitely recommended if you want to try the real taste of Dublin!

Without a doubt the best chipper in Ireland. Fish, Chips and crispy bits, loads of salt and vinegar and you're sorted! :)

Leo's came highly recommended to us by a local and as soon as we finished our tour with him, we rushed right back to the store. It was by far the best fish and chips experience we had in our entire 9 days in Ireland. Highly recommend them! We walked the short distance to St. Patrick's Cathedral, which has a... More

This got a big recommendation from my your guide and has been very popular for so long so maybe I'm just not a fishnchips person because it was bland for me even with salt and vinegar. Good texture on the fish but the fries were soggy.

This place is NO joke! The BEST fish & chips that I've eaten in both England & Ireland. This is a "take away" kind of place. Very tiny inside with no place to sit and eat. Place your order and enjoy! The fish is really, really good, fried to perfection, not greasy at all! They will ask if you want... More

Not the healthiest food to eat but the portions are really generous. Treat myself now and again to a Burdocks but worth it. Always have the fresh cod and chips. Yummy!

Personally - I *loved* this place. The atmosphere was a little rough (it's just a take-out place, which we knew, but the staff had zero patience or personality) - but the fish was AWESOME. Very fresh, lightly fried, and HUGE - my boyfriend & I split one. The chips were also some of the best we had in all of... More
