I love Italian food and on a recent trip into town to meet some friends we stumbled across Il Baccaro. The food here is to die for. It's like being in a wine cellar in Italy with friends having melt in the mouth food. Staff are Italian , which was good as my friends are Italian Americans. We spent a... More

I had been wanting to go to Il Baccaro for some time and this summer (2016) decided to go there for an early evening meal. We arrived ten minutes after the listed opening time of the restaurant. A waiter came to the door and said they are not open, come back in ten minutes. My friend and I then sat... More

This was our last meal in Dublin after finding good reviews on Trip Advisor. We weren't disappointed. Be sure to make a reservation as it's a very small restaurant, but so cute! The entire experience took us back to our vacation in Italy 6 years ago. We reminisced on that trip most of the time we were at dinner. I... More

Found by accident when wandering around the area, enjoyed a delicious Italian meal with a very good Tiramasu to follow. House wine was good. Good service. Loved the quaintness of the cellar style arched ceiling.

We came across this place completely by accident, tucked away in a narrow street in Temple Bar. The ambience was wonderful, the food fabulous, all cooked freshly and very reasonable for the middle of a capital city. The waitress went out of her way to help us. A definite place to return to on our next trip to Ireland.

Cozy atmosphere, great service from both waiters, tasteful dessert (panacota with chocolate sauce). However we were disappointed of the portion of the salad and the lasagne il baccaro which was a bit burned.

Hidden away from the Dublin hustle and bustle this gem of a restAurant provides you with a great atmosphere excellent food and fast friendly service. The menu is not extensive but has a good choice. The food is well presented hot and tasty and is served with a smile. The wins is good but slightly on the expensive side but... More

Food was nice enough but was disappointed to be told the lasagne & spag bol were sold out (at 7:30pm). Good service & excellent location just a shame about the limited menu.

Welcome to Il Baccaro Restaurant based in temple bar Dublin. An Eighteenth century wine merchant’s cellar in the heart of Dublin hosts this atmospheric Italian tavern since 1997.
