Visited the day before Good Friday on our last day in Dublin for lunch. Didn't book as we were having lunch quite early but was getting busy as we were leaving so would probably recommend booking a table if you want to visit and you definitely should!!! I had the traditional irish stew, my sister's both had the boxtys and... More

Went to this restaurant after being recommended by our tour guide Anne. We got 2 for 1 meals with our bus tour tickets. We had a Guinness stew and a coddle (like a stew with bacon potato and sausage) fantastic and exactly the right portion size for lunch . Wayne was very friendly and could tell we were needing a... If you're looking for traditional Irish fair, in a friendly restaurant, reasonably priced (apart from the Guinness) then this is the place to come. Best corned beef and cabbage I've had in Temple Bar

We loved it. Everything we had was cooked fresh and brilliant flavours. Boxty pancakes are their specialty. We thoroughly enjoyed this meal and great service. Well worth the money.

Enjoyed our meal, but was not blown away by the entrée. Staff was very courteous and was not a problem that we were 20 minutes late for our reservation. For tourists, nice location in the middle of Temple Bar district.

Right in the heart of temple bar, very friendly welcoming staff, we booked a table later on in the evening but were hungry so turned up an hour and a half earlier, there wasn't any tables but we sat at the bar - this didnt ruin the experience at all, in fact was probably a bit better as we could... At weekends this restaurant is heaving so its advisable to book. We were glad we did as people were queuing out of the door. It is worth it as the food is good and portions are generous. The Irish stew is excellent. Staff are friendly and efficient despite being rushed off their feet.

We ate here - arrived without a booking and were made most welcome. The food was delicious and we felt was reasonably priced. Could have taken a portion of Boxty chips home to munch all night - fab!

Located in the Heart of Dublin sits Boxty. If you want some great food come here. The service is great and the atmosphere is cozy. Prices may be above average, but you pay for what you get. The beer is smooth and the food is delicious. Request, Meadhbh (Mave). She is amazing.

We visited on Good Friday and the place was pumping. We hadn't booked but it was early and we didn't have to wait long. The menu was tempting with plenty of Boxty and traditional Irish meals on offer. I went for the seafood chowder which was thick and creamy and very enjoyable. I followed this with a Irish beef stew.... More
