Very good. Cozy, delicious food and they brew their own beer! Right in the center of Temple Bar. I totally recommend.

Considering this was our first trip to Ireland we thought it only fair to try some local cuisine. This restaurant was recommended to us by a taxi driver and were so glad he did. If you like fries of any variation then you MUST try the boxty fries, oh my word they are simply incredible! They have home brewed beers... More

I have to say we called into this place because the place we wanted to go was full, but I have to say we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and standard of the food. We will definitely go back for more.

The Boxty House was recommended to us - so I am passing on the favour. Situated right in the heart of Temple Bar it might get easily overlooked if you are searching for a lunch or dinner venue. But don't miss out. The boxty potato pancake was an unusual twist on the Irish staple, and mine was filled with chicken... More

Very busy restaurant, with excellent service. Good choice of main meals. Corn beef was excellent. Three stews was tasty but the beef one was the best by far. Booked us in at relatively short notice at Saturday lunch time for that evening. Very glad they had been able to as there was a queue most of the night. Lovely Sauvignon... More

Went here on recommendation. We had booked so were assured of a table but on the night we were there they took some walk ins. We both opted for fish cakes which were flavoured well and both enjoyed them. Husband had the corned beef and potato dumplings with a side of colcannon which he loved and unusually left a little... We had dinner at The Boxty House on our overnight stay in Dublin and enjoyed an Irish feast. Had the sampling of three stews and was great! Only rating four stars as the service could be improved, however reading other reviews it sounds like our experience with the service was isolated.

We came here for lunch after we saw that there was a 2 for 1 voucher on our bus tour ticket. The food was really nice, we had a chicken boxty and the trio of stews. The Boxty pancake was good - a lot nicer than we thought it would be! The trio of stews were fantastic and I'd highly... More

Dropped in for lunch and was not disappointed, the soup was great and then the ribs were fantastic and the portions were great. Very friendly staff and homely atmosphere to the restaurant. The menus was very good and I have had the pate before and it was exceptional as well

OMG I love the food so much! I had the classic boxty which was scrumptious and amazing. I could honestly eat this a million times. Service was great too with the waiter checking on us a couple times. The homemade lemonade was refreshing.
