This was a great place for traditional Irish food, with a bit of a twist. The Irish lamb stew with soda bread - yum. Great craft beer and with the Dublin Pass, complimentary Irish coffee - boy, that had a kick of whiskey! Not to be missed.

Boxty was a very good restaurant in the Temple Bar district. We tried several items since it was the only restaurant we visited twice during our week in Dublin. The staff is friendly, the menu is not complicated, and the food quality is a high standard. Dishes of note include any boxty (a savory stuffed pancake roll), the beef stew,... More

I'm not sure what the rage is about here but our food was just okay, didn't have much flavor. I had the Famous Galeic Boxty. Roasted Cauliflower Salad, was okay. The fries were amazing! But that's about it with the food. Our server was good and quite entertaining. Overall, was not impressed. Loved Ireland though! Great people & country.

We've been there twice - on our first and last day in Dublin - for both dinner and lunch. First time, we got there by chance - because the restaurant next door was busy. Lucky us! We were welcomed and waited by super friendly Bill (name does not sound Irish but his humour leaves no doubt he is Irish). He... More

My family loved Boxty House. Nice atmosphere and good menu selection. The food is unique, but not too unique to make it hard to feed picky kids. The cider and craft beer selection was also good. Our server, David, was great. He was funny and knowledgable. We want back a second time on this trip.

I didn't see the high marks on Trip Advisor before we ate here. I've had Boxtys back in the States and thought my vegan daughter might enjoy them. We had the vegetable and chicken Boxtys along with the bread board and a couple of pints. Everything was great and kudos to our waiter Mike for the great service.

The Temple Bar area wasn't our favorite, but this restaurant was great. The service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious. We tried the Chicken and Smoked Bacon Boxty and the Gaelic Boxty. Both were fantastic. The tasting slate and bread board were also great. Would definitely eat here again.

We were advised to come here by our cabby. The place is adorable and the staff is super friendly. The fish and chips were delicious and the beef stew did not disappoint. I would have preferred a little more pepper, but that was easily remedied. You must try the boxty fries! They're perfectly crisp and airy and the sauce is... More

If you're looking to try Irish food and want to sit in the heart of Dublin, this is the perfect place to go! It's right on Temple Bar but also has good food for a decent price. I had the soup, boxty, and the Bailey's cheesecake as well and all three were quite delicious. Just make sure to make a... More

We were told to stop by and have a traditional boxty here. SO GLAD WE DID! Although we walked in on a Thursday evening and luckily scored 2 seats right away at the bar, we did see many told you need to book (make reservations) because they were full. So, I recomend doing that because the food is so tasty!... More
